WE HAVE MADE START but we must not let our guard down

A much needed and welcome intrusion of "faith based" activities into our government and the flow of subsidies, in the guise of "contracts", to favored churches, is a step toward a ''beautiful ''theocracy for all Americans !!!

There is American History and then there is the Religious Right's Alternate Version of American History --

Remember don't get scared when the so called Religious ''nut cases'' rant on falsely about the founding of the United States on Biblical guidance & the Ten Commandments being part of America's basic cultural fabric.

Or when Supreme Court opinions written by Rehnquist, Thomas and Burger, make it apparent that members of our highest court do not know the difference between real history and Fundamentalist wishful thinking.

Rather we should celebrate the Ten Commandments as a significant aspect of the national life of the United States. and yes, lets encourage citizens of the United States to reflect on the integral role that the Ten Commandments have played in the life of this Nation and of course rejoice in recognizing the first weekend of May 2008 as ''Ten Commandments Weekend''.

Let us rejoice that our pseudo-history of the birth of our nation.is being marketed to home-schoolers and others who will never learn the real truth.

The fight to include these lies into our textbooks for public classrooms must be continued & we need your help !!!!

God bless America !!!!
