Shucks, us Texans shore do wish we wuz as smart as y'all fellers and gals, from whatever purfect state you's from. We just simple foke down here. But I shore do see lots of fellers like me walking round here with advanced degrees. Guess we ain't knowing aame smart stuff y'all learnt?
I shore hope yall don't get too hurt when we gotta to redirect our nachural gas and oil and gazoleene and crops down here, and cozy up with that Chiner country real close instead. Nothin' personal. And we gis decided to not connect up with the fancy American electrical grid. We done gots all we need. No need to be sharin'. I spose weez gonna have to shutdown the border with Mexico real tight-like, like we been wantin' to do fer a long time. And that fancy new nucular waste dump yall built here, it is closed to y'all foreigners fer now on. Weez goona use it for own nuclear reactors.
I cain't say how we ended up with our own set of nucular weapons ... we'll I gis caint say. Did I say we wuz good friends with that Chiner country?

well to be honest, Gov Perry is rejecting the part of the stimulus that requires Texas to PERMANENTLY raise costs to business. That is not a stimulus, that is a future economic burden.

I thought Florida seceded a long time ago....
Seriously if Texas seceded let em deal with whatever the border gives em. As it is now, the drug lords in Mexico are itching for a foothold in the US. If Texas does secede, let em snort. There's plenty of white powder out there to support the state.

Only time I saw Obama use a teleprompter was at a press conference. Other than that he speaks well with it or without it. I would think it's harder to speak fluidly with a teleprompter and still flow.
