DoD Identifies Army Casualties The Department of Defense announced today the death of three soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died Sept. 18 in Muqdadiyah, Iraq, of wounds sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near their unit during combat operations. They were assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team), Fort Lewis, Wash. Killed were: Spc. Joseph N. Landry III, 23, of Pensacola, Fla. Spc. Nicholas P. Olson, 22, of Novato, Calif. Spc. Donald E. Valentine III, 21, of Orange Park, Fla. -- and increases my paranoia like looking in my mirror and seeing a police car.

The body counts and cost of the war, should be front page daily news, not something you have to go digging around obscure websites to find! -- "And, finally, New Rule: If America's richest one-percent are now so rich that even a five-star hotel isn't good enough, it's time to bring back the guillotine."

People your age are experiencing a taste of what we went through during the Vietnam fiasco. At least these troops have public support. -- 10.5410.29
