What a wonderful series...it should be part of every high school curriculum. I applaud the ones who brought this to life.

Fascinating Nabbysdaughter! How wonderful that you are a direct decendant! What a source of pride that must be. Curiosity is getting the better of me, but how did you find out? Did you do research? Please share, I would be thrilled to hear any family stories you would be willing to share! (You have to forgive me, I am a huge genealogy nerd! LOL) I agree that this series really has outdone itself, and it likely one of the finest series HBO has ever produced. How they will top this, I don't know! -- ********* Host_Ginna HBO Forums Host

Many people are congratulating you this wonderful series and on how you have reminded people of the values, bravery, integrity and basic goodness of our founders. It is especially timely now that many in the world believe our nation to have lost its moral compass. As a descendant of John and Abigail Adams, and of Abigail and William Smith, I have to thank you on a more personal level, for myself and on behalf of my children and grandchildren, for bringing our ancestors alive for us. Watching this series has been like having a visit, and we now feel that we know them a little bit better than is possible from reading dry histories. It is somewhat comforting, as well as somewhat disconcerting, to realize how persistent certain traits are in families, for better or for worse Paul Giamatti, Laura Linney and Sarah Polley have done a wonderful job and we thank them for their sensitive, and we believe, accurate, portrayals. We are also grateful to see our ancestors finally receiving some of the popular recognition they deserve.

The acting and scenery and music were so extremely well put together, it literally brings the very period right in front of you to reach out and touch and interact with. The actors truly brought Adams, Abigail, Jefferson and the rest of the founding fathers to life in a way that I never thought possible! I must say, at the series finale, I felt quite sad and overwhelmed at the thought of its conclusion... especially at the passings of Abigail, Jefferson and John Adams at the end. It was for me, in fact, very hard to bear. As though I were living through the not so distant passing of my own parents once again, as well. Bravo HBO, indeed...

I thought it was excellent myself. It certainly opened my eyes to what guts the man had. It has also inspired me to study our history as a nation more closely.

Really!! Thank you HBO for a truly remarkable account of Adams? contributions, sacrifices and achievements towards the founding and governing of our great nation. In my opinion, this film is Outstanding! I hope the miniseries inspires others to reflect on the principles our nation was founded upon and the struggle we will forever endure in our efforts to maintain those principles! Surely, John was as vital to our nation as any citizen could ever hope to be! God Bless John Adams, 2nd President of the United States.

Bravo HBO! On the heels of the historical significance your series on John Adams delivered to a reminder of how fragile the democratic process can be with Recount, I applaud you for bringing us both! And, here we go with Florida's "count" again!
