I don't know about you, but there are times that i just need to yell, "NIH!" through the office. Or whisper, "Bad, Naughty, Evil Zoot!". Hell, I even like to make people "...answer me these questions three, eyre the other side you see." If you have an ex-parrot, or a silly walk, please, by all means...HAVE AT IT!
BTW, My favorite color is Green...NO! BLUE!!! (AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhh)

I don't thing "gag" is the word I'd use.... that would be an unqualified abomination!!!
My daughter is 16, but thank God she's way past HS Musical, and Brittany Spears too, for that matter. Whew!

I was picturing the grand finale dance number in this new one, resplendent with whirling shiny walkers with the green tennis balls on the feet, the background dancers their nurses with trays with those little paper cups holding their pills for that day....

And those young audiences flock in droves to see these turkeys, making tons and tons of money for the studios. As long as that continues, and it will, brainless movies will continue to churn out of Hollywood for us to endure. Did you hear they are making a High School Musical 4? :::shudder:::

It also doesn't help that the majority of young Americans are blithering idiots. Man, where did the intelligence go? It's very sad.
This is the result of "Hollywood's" idea that comedy must be dumbed down for the young audiences. The success of Dumb & Dumber and Ace Ventura, etc. just breeds more of the same. As it is, Hollywood can't seem to get an original idea. Remakes and sequels are way too common and this is why the number of indy films has risen so rapidly year after year. There's a big disconnect between the cultural appetites of today's young audiences and those of us who were exposed to many more classic films and innovative, clever comedy.

And yes, I can't tell you how many people that I've referred MP to have come back, telling me that it was 'retarded'. I then add these people to the "People I Cannot Be Friends With" list.

African or European Swallow?
Signs that the apocalypse is upon us(either that or you are getting old). You go buy a copy of the Holy Grail DVD give it to your young employees to watch who have never heard of it and they think it is the worst movie they have ever seen.
The Black Knight bit is nowhere near the funniest part of the Holy Grail, but it is usually the first thing you think of when you think of that movie because it is so outrageous. It is also probably the worst scene anywhere to attempt to make a verbal description and get the point across.
That part of about the duck and the witch has a historical base. Not putting them on scales but floating a witch or throwing them in the river to see if they sank was sometimes used if one was suspected of being a witch. I think there is a lot of that kind of thing in a lot of Python that we as Americans might not even catch.

Look Look I am being repressed.
Somthing that might get it to being in topic. Have you ever started telling someone story and wanted to stop but couldn't figure out how. My Father in Law is a retired Marine Aviator General. One day for some reason the conversation got to Monty Python and I started talking about how unique and different their humor and started telling the story about the Black Knight. It did not take long for me to realize that my tail was not the right one to tell, but I couldn't figure out to stop, so I finished. When I did he said something to the effect that he had pinned a medal on a man in Viet Nam who had had his arms and legs blown of and he didn't see any humor in that story at all. I felt like finding a hole to crawl off and die in.
