i'd give my right arm to be a writer for one of those stories.....i allready know which character i'd elaborate on...I'd go for the Chris Keller Murders ..... i'd give chris meloni a full 2 hours to act a fool...and be as graphic as possible in regular oz fashion.....portray chris keller from the time he was 17 and met shillinger at lardner and show everything up until him walking into the doors @ OZ....

I agree. I think if OZ would have shown the paths of the main charactor inmates it would give you more understanding to why they are the way they are. And it could have added more to the story. Although i'm dissapointed like many other fans Fontana said he may in the future release an OZ short story giving more answers.

Taking Oz in a Different Direction........

As opposed to making a relative inmate show in retrospect i would like to see oz going into the direction of telling the stories of those who walked the walls...."The O'Reilly / Dino Ortilani connection...Chris Keller & The Murder of The Three Homosexuals, The Background of inmates like Simon Adebisi, Torqemada,...The investigations....how Kareem Siad was before he got into Oz .....even Giles...i could take Oz in so many different connection..I own every season oz OZ, ive read the Augustus Hill book...and I can respect the fact that he took Oz out on Top..The Actors gave their best performances even the Cameo's ...A broadway legend Joel Grey was nothing short of Awesome as Lemuel Izdik...The pattern of the story of Oz was awesome until the point it ended...

I don't think there will ever be a drama better than OZ on tv because of the reallistic look at inmates lifes.

well...i agree with you on this. btw, guess who got the OZ ringtone yesterday -- Alvarez: Yo, I'm as bugged out as you. I mean, I know you guys spent a lot of time with Cutler. Did he ever mention anything about me? Robson: Yeah. In his sleep at night he'd whisper your name. Fuck off. -- Edited by xalvarezx at 10/15/2006 6:56 AM

I will probably get on the wrong side of some people in this forum, but what the hell... Don't get me wrong, I think Law and Order is great. I loved it and all the spin-off (SVU, Criminal Intent..) However, Oz kicks Law and Order anytime. Even though they have the same calibre of great actors, Law and Order just does not allow those actors to have rooms to grow and express themselves. They are stuck in a template of similiar storyplot. It's ironic because I enjoyed watching it... LOL. On the other hand, Oz provides rooms for actors to show their finest (even the minor characters) and the the unrestricting style allow the writers and actors to explore many aspect of issues. Enough of my rant, they should start Oz season 7.

um...i think wolf and fontana are co-workers or something...i know what you mean. i love law n order, but the SVU is way better then trial by jury although miguel is there and stuff...but, keller and that hottie mukada are just a purfect match...hmm...yah...today's SVU. everytday's SVU. i love it. and then afterwards, Carnivale...mmm...Carnivale...*drool* -- Alvarez: Yo, I'm as bugged out as you. I mean, I know you guys spent a lot of time with Cutler. Did he ever mention anything about me? Robson: Yeah. In his sleep at night he'd whisper your name. Fuck off.

Hi, You seem to know a lot. I just started watching OZ. I love it! I just wanted to know that why are so many cast members of Oz on Law and Order??? Do they have the same casting director or something? Everytime I watch Law & Order I am like..oh he/she was on Oz...Anyone know why??

> I was at the Season 6 DVD signing in NYC last night and Tom Fontana said that he was having a hard time keeping it fresh and that it was time for him to close it down...HIS way. The signing was awesome - Fontana, Miguel Alvarez, Fr. Macado, Poet, Chaz Hoyt, Keller, Beecher, Ryan O'Rielly, Chucky Pancamo, McManus and the Bitch Guard chick were all there and were friendly, accomodating and posed for a ton of pictures even if the Tower staff were asswipes.

I mean, I know you guys spent a lot of time with Cutler. Did he ever mention anything about me? Robson: Yeah. In his sleep at night he'd whisper your name. Fuck off.
