Heya guys, this is kinda random, but I was wondering if any of you could help me find a song. It's the 50's style a capella version of Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood. It's in "A Game of Checkers" Season one finale during Rebadow's flashback. I'm wondering if they just recorded it for the show or something because I'm having issues finding it. I really like it though soooo I'd appreciate any help! Thanks a bunch

Just thought id'e let you OZ fans out there know in case you want to check it out. If you go to youtube.com go to the search bar and just type in OZ. And search it, it will come up with only one thing reguarding the show and its damn funny.Its a spoof of the show with Jerry Seinfeld getting sent to OZ, normally I woulden't think its funny because I like the show, but he actually talks to the real charactors, the real actors!, such as O'Reily, Schillinger, Beecher and Augustus Hill. You have to check it out!!!!!

Well Keller's one of those interesting type of characters, and I truly think that if I was ever to go evil, that I would be like that character.
For Keller, sex (gay or straight) was an ends to a means. We see a bit of it in his conversations with Sister Pete...that for him with his 3 wives (married 4 times; twice to Bonnie)...that it was to see if whatever he did, that they would still love him.
The same sort of went for Beecher as well, only for Beecher it was a bit deeper. Keller actually loved Beecher, in his own twisted sort of way. The sex was just sex. Keller used his sexuality as a tool to get what he wanted.
And what a tool it was.

ok. so i just finished the last episode of season six. how depressing. i mean what happened to oriely and nathan. what happendd to the governer. OMG THEY NEED TO MAKE MORE! IM SO MAD I EVEN THROW MY POP AT THE TV WHEN IT ENDED!! AHHH

I'm brand new here so hello to everyone!
I can't believe how brilliant Oz is. I've never watched serials before because nothing ever appealed. Happened to catch OZ over at a friends and was hooked immediately. Never seen anything like it for realism before. Not that i have any experience of the inside of a maximum security prison! I started scanning the net straightaway for Oz fact and came across this community. Anybody know any other portals of Oz fact? I discovered a site giving away a copy of season one on DVD which i had a go at. Dead easy question. It's at a place called BritFilms....www.britfilms.tv Looking forward to hearing from y'all!

i know alvarez aint gay. but what i am saying, is he just got tired of fighting and just didn't give a shit about anything anymore. he tried so hard to do good and stay out of trouble in season 6 in the hopes he would get paroled, but he was denied parole. so after he was denied parole, he just got the the point where he realized he is going to be in oz for a very long time and there was just not point in him trying to do good anymore. you see what i am saying? he had kept fighting off tourquemada (not sure on spelling) a couple of times and he had said no to doing those drugs that tourquemada had, but after alvarez was denied parole, he just didn't care anymore. so he decided screw it, give me the drugs and do whatever you want to me. a lot of men in prison are not gay, but they still have sex with other men because what other options do they have. look at beecher he was not gay by any means, but look at the what all he went through with keller. i think alvarez just gave up and decided to "go with the flow" of whatever happens.

I often wondered the same thing. I think Alvarez just got to a point (after he was denie parole again) that he just didn't give a fuck and didn't have any feeling left in his soul. He didn't care what happened one way or another. So, yes I think he did end up becoming Torquemada's (not sure on the spelling)boyfriend. Sad to say, but probably true.

I just recently started watching Oz on dvd...I can't believe what I missed ...I had no idea it was such a powerful and awesome series. Now I gotta catch up on all the seasons.
I love it. It is an addicting show.

I think that the link that is being refered to is the fact that Keller actually did love Beecher, and the reverse was also true. They did actually like eachother. Yes, they didn't have many options, but even beyond all the crap that went on in Oz, they both sacrificed for eachother and proved their love.

Beecher and Keller?
What the hell are you talking about? There's absolutely no connection between those guys from BM and B/K - not in character traits, story, environment or...anything else, really. You're comparing two guys, King-Guilt/addict and a Chrissy-does-everybody-and-everything/psychotic murderer doing time behind bars with a couple of sexually repressed sheep raisers...none of them having a habit of killing guys or shitting on people's faces. Where's the link?
