I was the short kid, too slow, too small, stuttered, loser at dodge ball was usually the last picked . Well, it is a tuff world even for kids. I found this to be a great motivator. I learned to speak, lifted weights ran and was still the shortest. I ended up playing high school football, ran track, wrestled, and was a starter by my junior year. I graduated from college, went in the military and became an Army Ranger and now a successfull businessman. It was the competition in school the lessins learned from losing that drove my motivation to do better. Who are these people that believe that by coddling are children we are going to produce a better gentlier society. Who is going to become are police officers, our soldiers, ect. Children today cannot even organize a game amongst themselve without an adult tgeir to do it for them. Kids need to be kids, the learn to become part of society by learning to work and play together with out constant supervision. What ever happend to the pick up baseball games and sandlot football games that kids played on a saturday morning by themselves. Kids learned to socialize by themselves and if a kid got out of line the other kids would keep him in check. No touching, what kind of wimp ass society is this going to produce in the future.
