NORTH MEETS SOUTH!!!
In the ever increasing competitive world of Men?s Division 1 Basketball, The SWAC is having success recruiting players nationally. During the last signing period, Alcorn State in Mississippi, recruited two top players from the state of Michigan.
Larry Smith, head basketball coach for Alcorn, recruited and signed 6?8? defensive star Michael Martin from West Bloomfield High School, and 6?4? small forward Jamar Ragland from Detroit Loyole.
The scouts are reporting that Martin has a ?tremendous upside?, along with Ragland proving to be quite the standout for the Alcorn Braves.
Is this a new trend for southern programs? Only time and wins will tell!
