A lot of folk are just starting to watch and get into Rome and are putting time aside to watch it. A third series is a MUST!!
Surely there has to be a third season.
Does anyone else find it addictive? often I say "I will just watch one episode then go to bed"
I have NEVER ever yet managed to watch just the one, I find it impossible even though I have seen them all loads of times.
Surely the story of Nero would make great TV.
There is nothing on TV that comes remotely close to Rome at the moment and a good friend, a well known actor agrees 100%.
There simply has to be a third season!

I can't believe they cancelled Rome...the only decent thing on Sunday. I hope the producers go to SHO...that would really burn HBO. The loss of the Sopranos, rome, Dead wood what is left, crap...boxing and more crap.

I know! I can't believe it either shadodd!!!!!!! I am new here and I thot there would be another season. HBO PLEASE BRING ROME BACK!!!!

WHOA!!!! I can not believe this. I have been wondering what they were going to do with the third season. There is soooo much potential. I even brushed up on some history to try to guess what characters would eventually fit into the season. I am VERY disappointed with this decision. I think the reason why bottom lines may be suffering, is because people have lost interest in some shows, simply for the lapse of time between seasons. It definately has nothing to do with the quality of the series Rome.

I am so upset that HBO (of all corporate entities the one who proves itself to have some basic integrity)....that HBO can't value the artistic and historical importance of ROME over its bottom line!
You guys should be committed to making this series an ongoing project....
Can't you see that this show is unlike any other ever made?
You have to keep it alive. i want to see ROME, not just rise, but inevitably fall....
There is a real moral imperative for keeping ROME going, and that is THAT HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF!!!
Americans NEED to see the fate of Rome--how it starts out powerful and strong and then how it eventually becomes top-heavy with hubris & gluttonous & self-destructive.

I am deeplay sad to hear the end of this Series. HOB you MUST make more. It is the only HBO series I have ever watched other than Deadwood but it didnt catch my attention NEARLY as much as ROME. The characters and story and drama is the best. PLEASE DO NOT STOP THIS SERIES!!!!

I love this show!!! I cant believe it only lasted two seasons  In the beginning I was wondering why they were rushing the timeline. A new season would be wonderful, maybe the last articles of Rome or something since they already killed everyone off
