What a disappointment this movie was! The characters were soooo not true to form (come on Samantha in a committed relatinship for 5 years..more like oh the audience likes Smith so we have to keep him in the movie somehow) and please MIRANDA gettign back to gether with someone who cheated on her give me a break! The entire movie was whining about how awful life is without a man (yuk!). No going out, no celebrating being single (or even accepting it for that matter), no meeting facinating and odd men, just sitting home being depressed because they don't have a man?

To top it off the movie ended with two of the characters showing absolutely NO self respect wahtsoever. The entire ending of the movie is "treat me as badly as you want (as many times as you want), I'll come back to you anyway"! Where the heck are the women from the HBO series -- they sure do not show up in the movie?!

If you like fashion and "fairy tale" endings that are note ven close to real life then this is the movie for you. If you want a taste of the original HOB series, sont' waste your money!

I give this movie a "10". Four of us met at the theater with anticipation, and were NOT disappointed. This was the first time I bought tickets for a movie, the day before. There was lots of emotion connected to the script. Very well done!!!:-p

If you have great pictures of your Sex and the City celebration, you can send them to Cosmo Guy - he is posting them on his blog. We put up a link to his site on our tips for celebrating SATC Sextraordinarily!

https://www.partybluprints.com/Articles.asp?ID=139

It is pretty cool to see how people all over are really getting into the pre-movie party.

On the Cape, 9 of my friends and myself viewed THE movie. Age bracket ranged from the 30's to the 60's and all were thumbs up for the movie, of course, with the thought upon leaving, there would be more.

All of us could identify, at one time or another, with the characters. Growing up means we can't go back, BUT, we can visit once in a while. The series and movie is about women, with all their flaws and thoughts about being a WOMAN, and opens a dialogue for discussion.. Which we did, after the movie at a friends house, while drinking our Cosmos and eating. KUDOS to all concerned. :^O

Loved it, Loved it, Loved it. Ok, so finally after 4 years of waiting it's here and I loved every minute of it. It was exciting, funny, sad (heart wrenchingly sad in some parts), and overall amazing. I saw the midnight showing here in Orlando, came home, went to sleep, and got up and saw it again during the matinee (just in case I missed something).

The only thing that was wrong (purely technical) is we constantly saw the boom mics. I went with my son who is a film student and he kept saying it wasn't framed right. So fire the Boom mic operator.

Oh, just a warning if you are going during the day, beware of women who bring their screaming kids. This women was run out of the theatre after 45 minutes of her kid yelling. Just a warning "MOMS" (and I am one myself), but this is not a movie for kids, so get a baby sitter or the Sex and the City fans will berate you and form a lynch mob. That's all I'm gonna say.

How awesome! I love hearing how lots of women got all dolled up and just had a blast! Love the movie or not, that's what's it's all about - friends having a great time together, laughing, celebrating, feeling empowered and confident...that's what SATC is and the fans are no different! Fantastic!! :-D

I celebrated by going to the racetrack afterwards to see some pretty horses since the movie's main protagonist was an old washed up fugly horse.

New York City was absolutely electriified with Girl Power on Friday night and we were right there in the midst of it all!! There were 6 of us who laughed, cried and clapped while we were reunited with "our Girls".

The movie was fantastic! Everything we wanted -- and more! The fashions, the shoes, Carrie's apartment - what memories!!

Afterwards, we walked down Broadway and found a wonderful outside cafe to enjoy our Cosmos, discuss the movie and talk about the affect SATC has had on all of us single and fabulous NY women!! Definitely a night to remember (and we've got the pictures to prove it!)

The way I celebrated Girls' Night Out. My friend from Church and Work went with me to see the movie. We had a blast. I spent two hours getting ready for the movie. I put on my paten leather sling back high heal shoes. This was a must, I had to put on my Sex and The City shoes. I picked up my two friends and off we were. We had to waite about 45 min. in a special line. I got my drink and sat in the soft chair. I planned on just soaking up the night, this was my night. No husband, no children. This was a night planned out one year ago. I heard about the making of the movie and promised myself I would be there. I rate the movie a Big 10. I want to see it again. I got ready about five days ago, I watched the last five shows over and over. I will be buying the movie when it comes out.

My daughter and her best friend, my best friend from high school and I all went together. The movie was great, it felt like being back with old friends. But we all have to wonder, what were they thinking?! Were the producers, director, film editors and the thousands of others who worked on the film, not to mention the ladies themselves, so stupid that they thought we wouldn't notice the boom mics hanging down into the scenes? over and over and over again! It was terribly distracting. Part of a movie is forgetting you are in a theater and becoming a part of the action on the screen. It's really hard to keep the moment going when the flippin' mics keep darting down into the shot. Very shoddy work and very disappointing from what has always been a show that specializes in perfection, right down to the last rhinestone and pearl. Very bad form, folks. You should be ashamed.

This is my love letter to all those involved with this film. Very simply - Thank you.
I left work early and saw it with one of my girlfriends. It was wonderful and I am ready for the ladies to come back every weekend. My only gripe - SPOILER ALERT
Why was there no explanation about the Stanford/Anthony relationship? I was happy to see them together and want to know what happened. Please put an explanation in the DVD. I was so worried that the movie was being overhyped, but it delivered. I am so happpy!

Went with my friend right after work. She and I used to watch new episodes together each week over dinner. We went for a Cosmo after the movie and discussed it at length. (This was the first Cosmo that either of us had had since the end of the series since we got TOO wasted on them that night.) Both of us plan to see it at least once more while it's still showing.

We certainly hope that MPK has a sequel planned and that we don't have to wait 4 LONG YEARS to wait for it.
