So, the rumor mill has always worked full force during the show's run and well into the making of the new SATC movie. Whispers of a big rift between Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall supposedly over pay; the recent scandal of a supposed sex tape in which Kristen Davis is the star. (She denies it!) Please post any tidbits you find out here, and discuss whether or not you think there is any truth to them at all! -- ********* Host_Ginna HBO Forums Host

Looks like I'm the one with memory loss! ROFL! You're right of course valsmom - it was Roseanne Barr, not Rosie. Got my 'Rosies' mixed up I guess! LOL Sorry about that! I found the article and reread it to set myself straight, and wow yes, Roseanne really went over the line with what she had said. I wonder where all this anger comes from that she obviously has for Brad & Angelina? It is too bad she couldn't just address her issues with them in a rational, mature manner, rather than spit venom. But that wouldn't get her as much attention, I guess? -- ********* Host_Ginna HBO Forums Host

And that's exactly the point - Brad & Angelina did not sell the pictures of their kids to make money for themselves, they did it to help others. It gets kind of frustrating to read about people second guessing these two's motives; they are as well-known for their hands-on approach to their charitable causes as they are for their movie roles. What I don't get are people like Rosie O'Donnell, who criticize them for it. Did you hear her rant about them? This comes from the same person who praised them two years ago for the same thing involving pictures of their daughter Shiloh. Hypocritical or she's suffering memory loss, I don't know! -- ********* Host_Ginna HBO Forums Host

Jaydes: You know that the US Government "hid JFK's autopsy photos for years from the public"~when they finally did come out they were pretty shocking!!! My late dad had in his possission Muscellini's "death photo's: they were of ElDuche with bullett holes in his head, torso" Should've kept them they would've been worth lots of $$$$$$$"

Not that I am condoning/or agreeing with the twins case but I do respect the fact that the money will go to a foundation created by Pitt and Jolie that largely focuses on helping children around the world. Knowing the good work they do I am sure it will be put to good use. I recall when Dale Sr died and there was a hearing over the autopsy photo's. IMHO those kinds of things don't need to be seen, however there are people who "want" to see them. They say that rights stop where they infringe on the rights of another. The photogs/celebs situation clearly shows that the media have no concept of that.

There seriously is no difference between a celebrity and a average Joey/Jane. I mean if I had to name one it would be you know there name just by looking at their face. Some wish people didn't see their face, "tabloids talk shows what-have-you.) If I every became famous I'd tell the press what I wanted them to know and let them, shove their other questions where the son dont' shine. To be honest I can't see how celebrities can stand being in the limelight all the time. -- Everyone in life recieve's a chance but not everyone takes it. You see your chance take it that way you'll have no regrets later

> Ginna: > The countries have to get tougher with the phototogs > > and they have to be told that they will be "fined > heavly" > if they break the law!~The Pappazzeri have gotten > away with "MURDER" and still nothing is really done! I would like to see that happen. I do believe in freedom of speech, expression and the press, but I also believe in common sense. When you are performing your "job" in such a way that you are reckless and a danger to others then you are crossing the line. Diana's case is multi-faceted; it wasn't just the paparazzi, it was also a drunk driver. But the paparazzi made a bad situation worse, and their conduct afterward was nauseating and without any compassion or human decency. When they go after stars and are lacking those qualities, they are crossing the line, even with the consideration that stars expect to be photographed. They do indeed expect it, but when you trespass on their property, when you hover over their vacation spot in a helicopter, when you hide in the bushes outside their kids' school and jump out like a ghoul, then you are crossing the line. Stars have rights too, despite their status. -- ********* Host_Ginna HBO Forums Host

I can't see either one of them being the type to sell baby pictures for their own profit - at least I hope not. -- Edited by valsmom at 08/17/2008 9:13 AM PDT

Jaydes: Why do you think that some stars have been "going into a bidding war over photos of their children: Case in point, Brad & Angie, and their kids. You see your chance take it that way you'll > have no regrets later It's a fine line don't you think? I think most celebrity's expect to be photographed. I don't think they expect to be chased in cars though. Look at Brittney's situation, she can't breathe without someone trying to take a pic. There is such a thing as overkill. Would you agree? -- __________________________ Jaydes HBO Forums Host
