YOUR Man and Sex and the City?

This might sounds like an odd question, maybe not, but how many of you have husbands, boyfriends, or males in your life in whatever form that may take, that like to watch the SATC as much as you do? Did you try to get them to watch it with you once, and then they became hooked? Ever catch them secretly watching the girls when you're not home, switching the TV off as fast as they can so they can't be found out? ;)

Marleneemm, yeah George was looking a bit frail and teary eyed when he came out. Not sure about a stroke but you can tell that he has slowed down quite a bit.

Just heard that retired announcer Jim Kaat's wife passed away today from cancer too. I'm glad that he was able to spend time with her after he retired.

I'm a Yankees fan too Marleneemm! I have been since I was about 7 or 8 years old. I was very bummed to see that Bobby Murcer had passed away last week. I really loved Bobby. The All Star game was pretty cool with all of the Hall of Famers there and "The Boss". I couldn't stay up for the whole game though, I was too exhausted.

I really think if the money is right, they will do it. And they would make a killing, so to speak at the box office.

I'm a huge Sopranos fan myself! My fiance got me into watching it, after some initial resistance, not sure why, but anyway became a big big fan. A fact I really don't mind him taking credit for, he's got that one! LOL

So now it looks like there could be a Sopranos movie in the works. The rumor mill is on high alert, much like the gabbing over the "Friends" movie rumors. All of this thanks to the huge success of our SATC movie I am sure!
Now rumors have swirled for years about a Sopranos movie, and David Chase has said many times that he wasn't interested in doing a movie, but as often the case in Hollywood, when enough time goes by and someone gets an idea in their head, things can change! ;)

Two great series. Sopranos may have been the best drama ever made.

I thought that my husband would have watched the show
just for the scenes with Samantha alone~ He didn't even
look at it once! Oh,yeah I've caught him "asleep" with the
reruns on but he never watched the show when it was on
HBO,during the whole 6 years.

HAHA Merce, my husband said about the same thing. He actually liked the show in the beginning but not so much when Aiden showed up. He noticed how entralled I had become with the show and the fashions etc and said I was acting like a teenager. That was oK with me. I don't like to dress "older" and prefer funkier clothes and styles anyway.
Hate being too classic, it has it's time and place, but not as a general rule.

Sorry to say, my man dislikes SATC intensely. He never understood it, and really doesn't understand why I rewatch the episodes periodically. He said the girls acted like a bunch of teenagers who never grew up. They should just quit sleeping around, get married, and have "adult" lives already! I went round and round with him a few times, until we each gave up on the other's point of view. BUT when the show was ending, he did watch the finale and was very impressed with the way the girls had matured and were handling their lives at that point. He was especially impressed with Miranda taking care of Steve's mom, since at the time his mother was very ill and he was very involved with her care. Taking care of the elderly in our family is kind of a family tradition. (Now we have his 83 year old uncle living with us!) Anyway, we compromised on the show. I watch it in my room when I have time or feel like it, and he doesn't comment. As far as sports, the only sports nut around here is ME. I sure love those MSU Spartans! We had 2 kids graduate from Mich. State and my son was in the band when he went there. I like most college football and some of the pro stuff. That's about it. My daughter worked at a sports bar and dates a guy who is into all sports, so she got into basketball and hockey somewhat. Now she just started playing softball on the team her bar sponsors. She says she's bad, but we'll have to judge that for ourselves when we watch her play!

My husband likes any sport. When we were dating he had every piece of sports equipment i have ever seen. I laughed that he at least didn't have a bowling ball and he pulled one out of the closet.
You name it golf, hockey, basketball, golf, baseball, football, tewnnis, I get dizzy. Did I say golf? He practices his swings in the house and I have come close to getting nailed in the head a few times.
Men and their sports. Good thing is my boys became excellent athletes, especially baseball, being consistently chosen for the all star teams. One still plays today.
Shortstop/pitcher. Good thing they inherited his athletic ability.
