You can make an inquiry to Pat Fields at her office, however, it is HIGHLY LIKELY that the robe is no longer available because of the amount of time past. You can order material from MOOD the fashion industry material store and the very best selection in the business (featured in PROJECT RUNWAY) and order the material and if you have designer capability, make one or have someone you can hire to make it for you, a local seamstress. Making a robe is easy and you can take a video clip from the episode that shows the robe so the seamstress can see it. If you have the episode, make a clip. If you don't, I have all the episodes, I'll e-mail a clip to you. If you don't live in New York City to go to MOOD, you can e-mail them the clip, I think they have a website and they can match the material and ship it to you, enough for your size with a matching belt and lapel if it has one. You can reach me via FACEBOOK MESSAGE my name is MARINE JOURDAN... Good Luck Dear...

I remember that robe also. The other episode she wore it in was the one where her friend Susan Sharon left her abusive husband and slept on Carrie's couch for a couple nights. Carrie went to the door to receive a delivery of roses from Big (for her birthday) and she was wearing the robe. I don't know how you'd find out where it came from though, unless you could somehow contact Patricia Fields, who was the wardrobe wizard throughout the show, including the movie.

Hi, I have a fashion question that I can't seem to find an answer to anywhere. There is a robe that Carrie wore in her apartment. It is light blue (among other colors) and glittery. I saw it in 2 episodes. The only one I can remember though is in episode 28 where she was dating the alcoholic and he became addicted to her, then in the end he was running around the street naked, so she threw him the robe from the window. Does anybody have an idea where that robe is from? Or can find a picture of it? You're replies are appreciated!

Hello fellow SATC fans. This is my first posting over here, since I've pretty much been wrapped up on the In Treatment boards for the past couple of seasons, but I wandered over and found a fascinating collection of insightful postings. Bravo, y'all. Pixeey, I agree with you wholeheartedly. Miley Cyrus sounds like unispired casting, indeed. While most of me wants to just trust the crew at SATC, a small part of me remembers the disastrous casting of Ron Livingston as Berger... I'd like to think that perhaps the writers/producers wanted me to be frustrated and pissed off by Berger, but they left him in too long for me to hold onto that thought. And Livingston was just an annoying actor on all levels. I watch and rewatch my SATC DVDs except for the Berger episodes.....EWWWWWWWWWWW! By the way, thanks a million for the "Blair Elkin" veiled reference to the Ellen Barkin divorce burndown with Mr. Revlon in the SATC movie....that "ripped from the headlines" touch was priceless.

Dear Powers That Be, I don't know words explicit enough to express the magnitude of my displeasure at hearing that Hannah Montana is infiltrating my bastion of celebratory middle-aged womanhood, SATC. And I know ALL the explicit words in multiple languages. I endure the burning visual and audio poison that is Miley Cyrus from my 12 year old. But I am steadfastly unwilling to endure the cataclysmic betrayal of her appearance in my SATC. Are you completely out of touch with your demographic? Or is it that you just don't mind alienating your core demographic for want of attracting a new, less well heeled, market segment? Whichever casting director or marketing advisor suggested this atrocity, and whichever combination of executives green-lighted this utterly asinine idea should be publicly drawn and quartered. Please put Hannah Montana on the cutting room floor where she belongs.

Hi Again; Just a mention-for some reason, TBS has suddenly stopped showing Sex And The City reruns at night! They have always shown them 2 a night, every week night. But for some reason, they have suddenly disappeared. Maybe the Network can't afford the syndication fees? As most know who read me, I 'grew up' on the TBS versions; and only recently (this year) became acquainted with the longer, adult content HBO versions when I bought the entire series on DVD. Although the show is more comprehensive and makes more sense in original format, I just wasn't as comfortable with the nudity and profanity. So I still try to catch some repeats on TBS when I can. But they are gone! Wow--major development. This is San Diego BTW, may be just our area or region. Also-regarding the new movie rumors. I recently saw a segment on CNN (Showbiz Tonight I think) that mentioned the upcoming SATC movie. The only rumor they mentioned or confirmed, was that SJP's character would be pregnant. So I am guessing all that other cooky stuff was probably just misinformation leaked on the Internet. Or maybe intentionally leaked to mislead people and keep them guessing. Interesting though.

Yes, it was Skipper............. he was obscessed with Miranda and Miranda just wanted him because he looked good and was with a normal woman. But how quick did we see how wacko he was to pick up that phone. Steve wouldnt do such the thing.

Sushi restaurant near Vouge...

I meant to watch the episode again. I've really looked on Google maps for my answer. I can't believe I didn't write down the name at the time. It was a Sun. morning and it was not open yet. It was truly one of those NYC special moments. The city is full of them. I highly recommend you make a trip. I go at least once a year. In the series, they did pay tribute to the city. However, I think you'd really love being there. NYC is a place like no other.

Welcome duranfreak! I didn't want you to feel you were being ignored, and to tell you the truth there isn't much activity on this site. I'm glad to see a few sparks of life left in it, since SATC is MY all time favorite show. Sorry I can't help you with that restaurant though. I do remember that episode, but I didn't know what the name of the place was. Did they even show the name of it? I've never been to NY so I wouldn't know it by the decor, food, etc. I'd have to see a sign with the name, or hear someone say it, and I'm not sure they did. If I watch that episode again and get any idea from that, I'll pass it on.

Well, I just joined today. I have a question about a restaurant in episode 65 - "Vouge Idea". This past summer I walked by the sushi restaurant that Carrie went to with Julian... I did not write down the name. I know it's near MoMA. Help, please! I've enjoyed reading your posts!

Hi Merce, just clarifying a few things. How credible was that article you were referring to? Those story lines are pretty out there, they don't seem realistic to the Characters or their histories at all. Miranda giving up Harvard Law School, years of hard work which she loves in her firm, and probably a 6 figure income as a Manhattan Lawyer to work in a restaurant? With her expensive tastes and upper class personality, not likely. And being an Attorney is her entire identity, I doubt she would give it up just for one malpractice suit. Especially as she is a really good Attorney, and not likely to have committed malpractice. And the malpractice suit probably wouldn't bear merit, as she is too good at her job. So she would win the suit, making her even more confident in her abilities as a Lawyer. I was thinking more likely she would get too close to someone at work, or someone in her social circles who is more like her, and reminds her of the areas in her relationship with Steve that aren't compatible. (They have had a lot of ups and downs, mostly due to Steve's issues and mistakes.) Charlotte thinking Harry is cheating on her to the point of leaving with the girls on vacation, without even questioning him or verifying if it's true? I can see the Writers needing a 'plot point' to give the girls an excuse to go to some exotic locale for vacation, as I mentioned previously. They did that last movie. But doesn't seem likely Charlotte would believe Harry was cheating to that extent. She is too positive about 'love' and believes in her Husband too much. After all, she did give up Christianity to marry him. And Mr. Big and Carrie losing EVERYTHING in the economic crash, that they have to move in with Charlotte and Harry? That just seems too wild a story, and not at all like their Characterizations. Mr. Big is too savvy in the business world, and has been financially successful and wealthy for too long. He has multiple business interests, and I doubt he would be foolish enough to risk everything in the stock market or high risk investments. It just wouldn't suit his character who is another 'Donald Trump' to be so inept at his field he would lose all his assets in a recession. Also, Carrie would never live with Charlotte. She is way too independent, and her relationship with Big has always been very private, just between the two of them. Remember the end of the last movie--they got married in City Hall so it would be 'just the two of them' as she promised Big. These story lines just sound far too implausible to be real. The pregnancy plot makes a lot more sense. Not that those rumors couldn't be true, but just by common sense they don't really seem like directions the Writers would go in with those characters. And it's doubtful that much information about that many plot lines would be leaked this far ahead of time. Sounds more like it could be misinformation being leaked; either intentionally to fake out viewers so they don't know what's really going to happen, or because some person just leaked bad information. I could be wrong of course, but this all makes sense. And I think you forgot that near the end of the first movie, we saw Stanford and Anthony much closer. Growing older and wiser, they had definitely overcome their differences and become friends as evidenced by the New Year's Eve montage. It was also implied they were already IN a relationship, so it would be very logical to advance that to marriage in the next movie. It was subtle; but the implication was that as they grew older they realized they had more in common, things didn't work out with other Significant Others, etc. and they bonded into a relationship. The only point I don't get; is that NYC has not yet legalized Gay Marriage, although they are very close on the list. So it would have to be a 'Domestic Partnership' at this point and not an actual marriage. But that would be a great story line! Another stable marriage in the group.. I don't think the Writer are pulling a fast one on you, or assuming no one remembers the animosity between Stanford and Anthony. The first movie launched everyone ahead 4 years, and we saw a lot of growth and maturity in the Characters. Since the Writers have already established that they were close friends and probably involved in some kind of relationship, then down the road I believe it's realistic that they would get married. Only they never explained what happened to Marcus? He never quite seemed to fit in with that bunch, he was too nice and trouble-free LOL. Hope that helps..
