We're all affected by the things that interest us, from TV, movies, music, books, people, etc. If we're really fortunate, a shining star will emerge that really affects us beyond the fan level. Sex and the City is of course, fiction, but have you learned anything from what the girls went through? Do you see situations in the show that mirror or come close to things that have happened in your own life? By watching the show, have you examined your own relationships, dating habits, sex life? Or do you just sit back and laugh and cry with the girls, appreciative of this fabulous show bringing so much fun to your life? Just curious to see what levels of fandom we have here! -- ********* Host_Ginna HBO Forums Host

Welcome to the newbies! I still check back on SATC forum every now and then, even though most of the discussion has dried up. Anyway, to answer the question about why the show ended, Sarah Jessica Parker wanted to spend more time with her husband and little boy, who was born while she was filming season 5 I believe. (The pregnancy was not written into the show; they did everything they could to hide it, and also it was a short season.) Sarah Jessica also wanted to make movies too, but she always wanted to do a SATC movie, and now I hear there is going to be a sequel. Hooray for that! I too watch and rewatch all the episodes. When I finish the last one, I start over again with season one, show one. It's my favorite "down time" activity.

I've watched every single episode at least a dozen times and I think the most important thing i've gleaned from SATC is the importance of good friendships. As we see in the series, men come and go but good friendships are forever! I get very frustrated with my friends because they all have partners (as do I) but they all seem to neglect their friendships because of it. I can't help but think the girls on SATC would never neglect each other for a man! Also, I love the fashion, love Carrie's daring style though don't think I could ever hope to emulate it. Oh, and I love the feminism- not everyone has to get married and have kids.

Believe it or not I don't have time to watch TV at all. I am a working mom and so much in love with my husband...so rather watching TV I will spend time with him. Having said that we love to watch movies...almost every week. I have never seen an episode of SEX in The City on regular TV show,, but because of it's publicity I was encourage to watch the movie..and guess what? After seen the movie, I asked my husband to rent the whole series. We just finish Vol 2 series. We are on Vol 3 now and I can't believe I am so addicted to it. I even want to watch the next episode right now, but I can't cheat with my husband we have to watch it together. Why did they end the show? I know Im too late for that question. I just love Sex and the City! Thanks you for reading my long note. Hope they consider a continuation of it.

Marlene, maybe her formatting is a little off but the site is legit. Clear your web line and type in exactly as she has it posted. You can indeed access the site. I found it no problem. Not something that 'greatly' interests me but she did put a lot of work into it.

If you clear your www.line and type in exactly as she has and stop at the .com you'll see it's an actual link. Very well done but I really wasn't interested enough to read much. I'm a North Shore girl! Anyway, her site is legit, and it looks like she put in a lot of work.
