Hey I saw it twice and tried a third time but it was gone at that point. It ran for 6 weeks which was pretty good for a summer movie. I doubt Momma Mia with Meryl Streep wil do much better.
I had some criticisms the first time I saw it but after the second time it kinda grew on me. AND we got to see everyone again. AND it was wonderful....
The Big and Carrie storyline was nicely wrapped up in the end with the fabulous proposal sans big diamond ring even and the city hall wedding that turned out to be just perfect.
I think it took awhilefor me to get used to the new changed and improved Big who wrote poetry, had spent 4 blissful years with carrie and was so....there for her. He was always such a man of mystery.
He did have a slight setback with the big wedding but actually had tried to tell carrie several times how freaked he was getting...she just didn't listen so it was both their faults.
Once I figured that out the movie seemed to make more sense.
I don't know but Big was always a man who was so hard to figure out that it took time to accept him in a diferent light. But it's what we always wanted, so who's complaining.
Just wanted a thread that let MPK know how much the FANS loved the continiation of his stories. We will hope for a sequel too.
I suppose we can't say goodbye, we were so invested.

i think it depends on the man really!!
alot of them to seem to voice there opinins and whatever just not when it comes to feelings which can be really annoying lol
remeber in an episode when carrie told big she loved him after he gave her that awfull sequin duck bag...he hid his feelings and waited till the end...over the phone to tell her
if thats not the definition of a man then i dont no what is lol

Big, and most men, certainly do have a mouth of their own. But, and you all know from what you posted, they don't use it much! Not for feelings anyway LOL They do for many other things...

They could've gotten married in private~and then had a
big *Society Shindig* later on!!!

omg hell yeah!!!
how cud they not end up together!!!
my friend who i went to go and see it with was convinved aiden was gonna appear in the movie and confess his love for carrie lol!!
i was like....erm no it has to be big lol!!
besides the last time we saw aiden he ahd a kid!!
that soon shut her up lol

I think that you had to see that Big would leave her and not come in...it is just so their story line. They are always getting to that point and then missing each other. He did try to tell her but a 3 year old took her phone and she knew it was too good to be true. Big is a simple man in the romance area. He is complicated to understand and might I add that the only poetry was "I'm sorry, I screwed up" not really a new Big to get used to just him making a valiant effort to get his beloved back and appealing to her in any way he knew how to. But I think everyone in that movie theater knew that there would be a wedding between Carrie and Big by the end. They are just meant to be!

i think it'll be good being able to watch it at home ratehr then at the cinema with possible distractions!!
another bonus of dvds is the behind the scenes features!!
im guessing satc will have sum great features on the dvd!!!
