Have you all picked yours up yet? I bought the super extended version but there really wasn't much of interest on it, imo. I did like MPK's commentary but that is on the standard version. He takes you through the whole movie with his little sweet stories. Really enjoyable. But it takes time. I got mine at target and it was $23 but the standard version was only $16. I ended up having to buy another dvd player. Yikes, it's my 4th one. The first was a sony but even that didn't hold up, So the next two were cheapies, they broke shortly after. Now I have gone to a medium priced one. Annoying.

I remember even as a kid in MA I would take a longer way to go home from school just to shuffle in the fallen leaves. and we collected chestnuts. now, even though we took down a bunch of trees, my yard is littered with pine cones. we have less leaves now than before but we never rake. we hitch the trailer to the John Deere and D gives me and Mackie a 'hayride' as he mulches them down. -- Cub Scouts are future Fascists.

I'm in south NH so the colors are starting now, a little early, but it's still pretty. We're not making it to our mountain vacation this year (my Dad doesn't want to leave his parents anymore, they're too dependent these days) so he sold the condo to his cousin. I'm missing it but maybe next year me and D and lil Mack can take a long weekend. -- Cub Scouts are future Fascists.

My old truck cd stereo is also Panasonic, as is my VHS camcorder (can you say dinosaur? LOL!) All are still going strong, no problems. My Panasonic wireless surround sound did give us one problem when a circuit zapped on the woofer but D fixed it himself. I would definitely go to Best Buy.com or even Amazon and read reviews on any particular item you wish. Also, Shopping.com is a great resource. -- Cub Scouts are future Fascists.

Man this board is dead! Where are the hosts at least? Back in the day, this was so busy sometimes you couldn't get on.

Mack thanks for the 411. I just bought an RCA so I don't know if it will hold up or not. Sure hope so, but the expensive Sony didn't last long at all. It was a VCR combo. If I end up needing another, I'll try the Panasonic. They aren't too expensive but when you need to replace them over and over it's stupid. How's that fall color up in NE? I can't make it up this year and miss autumn so much.

The only DVD player I've ever replaced was the DVD/VCR combo unit in Mackie's room two years ago. The VCR side is dead now, again, but I'm not getting another. Buy Panasonic. I've never had a problem with any of their stuff. And many electronics products have reviews where people post their opinions and experiences. That's helped me decide which brand and model to buy many times, and I've never been disappointed. -- Cub Scouts are future Fascists. -- Edited by MacKennie at 10/01/2008 9:42 AM PDT

oh and on the super version there are some scenes that were cut but nothing really interesting, and not too many either. There is a discussion by SJP that I haven't watched yet and also a fashion show which might be cute. Then there was a little clip of the ladies of SATC which featured the girls, but nothing new there either.
