Granted I became a fan only after the show had stopped airing on HBO and went onto the networks, but I had thought all along that Big's name actually was "Mr. Big." I have wondered occasionally at the wisdom in that, but now I've been told that he does, indeed, have a first, middle and last name. Can anyone tell me what it is and when it is revealed in the original series? Thanks!

Big's real name was never revealed in the show~ only
his first name "John" it was shown on Carrie's phone
as she walked down a city street,she smiled when she
saw who was calling.
Big's real name in the movie is MPK's way of paying
homage to his favourite director, Preston Sturges.
Big's real name in the film was: John James Preston
