Hi gang - some of you know me from the Soprano's Boards. I need everyone to look at this link http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?section=local&id=5743157 this guy killed a Philadelphia cop in cold blood. He used his mother's gun and stole the cop's gun as he laid dieing. He walks with a limp and has a tatoo of a spider on one hand, and HP on his other. He is dangerous and it is breaking our hearts that this guy is still on the run!! Thanks for letting me post! They wont let us start a new topic on the Soprano's thread, so I will post it on as many topics as I can. I wish you all well

Hi fellow SATC fans, I'm new to this site, I had been here before but never really registered to converse here. So, I'm sure you're all just as excited for the movie in May as I am. I have to admit that I LOVED the fact that Kim kept resisting the film for as long as she did. I was passionately dead set against the project. Like many of you, I am a huge mega-fan and know more about this show than anything else in pop culture. But I have never been so pleased with a series finale to any show as I was with this one. It was pure poetry, the sweetest, purest, finest, honorable closure to a superb run. It would be like asking to realign the stars. So, I did not want to risk a new less than perfect ending as the series finale so eloquently had acheived. Believe me, I cried many times about the conclusion to our beloved show. I did want to see the girls again alive and back in action but I was thinking unselfishly, I chose not to want to see a new installment and be dissappointed by a new Hollywood studio ending. Plus, how could a movie on the big screen work? The formula for a film is very precise these days, studios don't wanna make a movie for us to enjoy and celebrate the show, they're there to make money. As time went on, my restraint grew thin and I heard MPK was on board and Kim had signed and it was a green light. So, I suppose I have to trust the writers to do us all justice and leave us again with a great ending and one where we feel we won't torture ourselves too much when its over. I'm sure they will honor our dedication as they had done before like when Carrie said to the ladies at the going-away dinner before she left to Paris, that she wondered "what if I had never met you?" I believe that was not only aimed at the characters but for all of us fans as well. My head ran with warm and joyous memories and I began to tear up with them. Also, the ending where Carrie talks about relationships and ultimitely points out the most important one "is the one you have with yourself", that was a nod for us to go on and that they're gonna be fine and we can take the girls, the show, the LOVE with us. "You've Got The Love I need to see me through"... as the ending song says left me with great sense of peace and contentment because I did take the love and I was gonna be ok. Let's face it, this was not a television show, this was bigger, this was vibrant forces with a soul, it was family that lived and travelled in our veins and in our hearts. Patricia Field said it best, "they pushed television to whole new level." And they really did, no other program carved a corner and created a platform of this nature that was interesting, creative, charming, chic, provocative, brilliant, sexy, thriving, poignant, warm, and very funny. I'm dying to see the film, I miss my girls. I miss my Carrie. I now realize, no matter what ending they do, it dooesn't matter because there really is no ending. These women are loved and adored by us and if you have that toward someone and really know and feel it then that's when its not so hard to let them go because they will always be alive... in mind, body, soul, and in our hearts. Thank you for letting me say my peace. I look forward to conversing with all of you on this fan board.

Nerdy, we just had our third cop killed in Broward County (Ft. Lauderdale area) today. No regard for human life. Creep made his escape from a police van that was driving him to court. He also stole the cop's gun as he lay dying in the van, then dumped his body in the street as he drove away. The cop was retired, only working part time, He was in his 70's. He was caught two hours later smokinga cigarette outside a gas station. All that for a few minutes of freedom. We are so sick and tired of the officers being killed. The last one was a young father of four. -- Edited by beachy at 11/07/2007 4:54 PM -- Edited by beachy at 11/07/2007 4:57 PM

nerdybooboo: Why don't you make a "News Alerts Thread on Soprano's boards? Also I get *newsupdates through my computer at www.msnbc.com~ That how I find out about trials, deaths, births and eterainment news~ if it's something hot I post it" Right now I have one for all news concerning the SATC movie~ I'm just worried about the writer's strike affecting the production. Don't you guys have a "member created threads link"?? We've had one for afew years now~ that's where I started the "SATC Movie Updates/News thread" -- Edited by Marleneemm at 11/07/2007 10:13 AM

thanks marlene You rock!!! - i was just trying to grab this story some attention. I was watching the news and they think this guy fled philly he may be heading down the east coast - Maryland ... And the FBI has YET to put this guy on their national most wanted list - I talk to people all over the US every day.. so I thought I'd post! It is sad and really making me mad - the crime in Philly is disgusting and these scum bags are shooting cops left an right. 4 cops were shot in two months - this is our second cop to be murdered in a year - and two Ex police officers were shot to death at their security jobs last month! Sad Sad Sad
