I didn't get a chance to see the film in the theatre~ I'll
see it when it comes to Cable.
Now about "Dante" I was reacting to the "actor" and not
how he was in the film! The actor who played him is "hot"
and Italian!
Sam needs someone who's going to be there for her~that's
been Smith all along~but Sam has to realize that it's "his
turn to shine" he's a hot commidity now~he's always
going to be there for her~he proved that in the series,
when he shaved his head,when he took a redeye home
from Canada instead of sleeping with an extra,when he
was waiting for her at Richard's party when she got off the
elevator~ The problem is with SAM~not Smith.
Sam's "problem is that she's not getting enough & that
Smith's too busy making it in Hollywood"
Sam's a publist~go and go what you did in NYC in LA!!
Open up your eyes girl!! Start your own agency!!"
The writer's for the film *Missed the boat on that point*!!

I think they are right, Dante 's one hot,sexy guy and we are not talking about the fake boob girl who in my point of view are horrible and it's not about them at all, it's about him and how Samantha and Dante are the same, and he knew Samantha was looking at him, because as much it's a challenge for her to resist, it's a challenge for him to have her and be with her, she love this man who look just like her before and he love this girl who resist to him.
Maybe Dante 's not like that at all, he doesn't like this fake girls with no sentiment, he love this women next door and he can make her realize how good she really is, the way Samantha is with man, it's the way Dante is with girls but not women, he might not be the perfect man for her, but he will be the perfect man for the audience and that's what really matter if we want a sex and the city sequel, Dante can show Samantha what Smith 's really is for her because he can see how she still love Smith, Dante stay the perfect man but not in her heart.

I realize you found Dante to be hot. I had a very different reaction--I'd take Smith or I'd get out of LA...
Dante (to me) was sleezy...and no one has said anything about the girls in with him, especially with the fake-looking boob jobs (at least one of them)...that impressed you all? Really? And it rang true? After all that Sam had been through...with the cancer and the chemo and Smith? She learned nothing? Just hump, hump, hump whatever looks hot? When you look at the whole picture...Dante was having orgies regularly. That's the kind of guy you'd think Sam at this point in her life (and after all she'd learned) would go for?

Oh I don't think a sequel will mess it up as long as SJP and MPK are involved. He's a good writer. I'd love to see a sequel where Samantha moves back to NYC and runs into Dante who is there modeling. A little cat and mouse would be so much fun and let's see what else Dante can do! He is SOOOO sexy!
It would also be great to see Big and Carrie as a functioning unit. But I'm sure MPK has a lot of great ideas - the movie had a nice message of forgiveness so maybe the next one or two could have similar big themes that tie the 4 together.

I don't know how I feel about a sequel. What else is there to really say or do? About the only thing I can think of is have Carrie have a baby. Anyway, my main concern is that a sequel will just mess things up.
The first movie already put an end to Smith and Samantha, which I was disappointed about. I know this is Samantha, and it wasn't exactly a shock that she'd want to move on, but it felt like regression.
I was just relieved Carrie/Big and Steve/Miranda were still together at the end, given how much of the series was spent trying to get these couples together.

I guess you didn't get the all story for Samantha, she left smith because she realize how much she miss her old life because of her sexy neighbor who's exactly Samantha before, and bringing him back will make her realize that she miss something maybe, she think she would be happy with Dante because she wants him so bad, and that make her realize the happiness with Smith.

I didn't care for the whole Marini scene stuff. I saw it (my opinion) as Samantha regression big time (as bad as ever)...the women it showed Marini with didn't even look natural (body-wise to me). Smith is something else. If Samantha is not into him now because she took him on as a project or something then split. Go back to NYC. But oogling the neighbor in a sleezy way--along with his playmates? We already know from the Series that threesomes don't do it for Samantha anyway. That was the part of the film that turned me off the most--seemed placed in there for gratuitous sex alone (not my thing.)

A sequel it's great but only if they bring back her sexy neighbor(Gilles Marini), she cannot want him so much and nothing . I will say, he's the only one who can change Samantha.
That will be smart to bring him to the sequel, I mean can you imagine how many peoples 's going to see the movie just because Gilles Marini's back, if you google Gilles Marini you can see how they talking about him, he's the new character on sex and the city, he light up the movie, MPK you are one smart man, you saw exactly the movie star on him before anyone else, I will say he's the next million dollars sex and the city sequel.
