"All anyone needs to do is see the Dick Cavett interview circa 1970 -- although I don't know how to get it. She was very funny and very vulnerable. I love when she does (did) Little Girl Blue. There was no one like her. You must be too young to remember her."

sheehant:

Nope, I'm not too young. I had the GREAT pleasure of seeing Janis live when I was in high school. I remember playing her albums up in my room, and my mom saying, "Who the hell is doing all that screaming?" LOL!

Why you so behind? Because of the Mighty Winds concert? After you've caught up ATS is semi-safe again. A certain someone seems to be gone for good. I have one other theory- but I'm just going to let it go and say he's gone.... dont want to become paranoid.

"Joisy, I have a 20-month old granddaughter and it
makes me crazy to see the way 8- and 10-year old girls
dress. F*#&% equality -- or even respect -- for women.
I always tell her first that she is smart, second that
she is pretty. So glad I don't have a teenager."

Yep, it's one giant step backward for womankind! Grrrr!

CG- Thanks, for the condolences. You're technically correct of course. When I say spoiler I mean it subjectively.

I pretty much stay out of ATS completely once the season starts and I only gingerly approach the CP cuz I like the folks that post there.

I've got this system where I sort of look at the posts with diffused vison scanning for any characters names and if I see any I'm outa there before reading anything.

The music thread has been my haven because hardly anybody discusses the show here except to say, "What was that music that was playing when Clair and Russell....etc" and those posts are easy to look away from before reading the details.

Nope, I just plain screwed up. I thought I clicked on Music and just started reading away. My bad.

DOH! I just mistakenly clicked on The Brenda and Nate thread instead of Music and got more spoilers in two sentences than I'd ever want to know.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....:_|:_|:_|

I'm 3 episodes behind but now I know what's comin'... waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.........:(

Pipeline.... my son's dream, to "charge Pipeline" before he's 18. I'll be needing heavy drugs and a straight-jacket to watch that.

AHHH, usa- the video! SUCH a help! I had mine in it very young b/c IMO, it was one of the better, safer sports. Mine never got hurt, except for maybe some grass burns. Enjoy the game(s)! Dia

Hey, I once went to a fight and a soccer game broke out.

http://www.sonyclassics.com/ridinggiants/

Here's the link to the film you were talking about Dia. It's called Riding Giants and I'm sad to inform you that it played in Austin August 13th. I missed it here on August 27th. I'm so pissed cuz I went to the site when the movie first came out and saw it was coming to Albuquerque in Oct. I marked the date on the calendar and now I look today and find out it's been here and gone already. Damn! :(

Mortitia lived in Hawaii for 9 years and loves the big wave action.
