to start off, something sinful for breakfast. no wine for this meal, but i do suggest a dark french roast coffee, preferably Peets. musical suggestion: the Orange Tree (Grey Larsen & Andre Marchand) movie afterward: the Red Balloon recipe-- french toast a la foster day old good bread dipped in a buttermilk egg mixture with a bit of freshly grated nutmeg, fried in butter. top with bananas and walnuts sauted in brown sugar, cinnamon and butter until all caramelly. add a tablespoon of good bourbon if so inclined (or pour it on after and light it for special effect). this balances bad for physical with way good for soul. all evens out, see. why do they have to kill so many good shows. They coulda got another few years out of this one. It Pisses me off. It was such a unique theme. It was very dramatic and entertaining. -- Edited by ChiefKahuna at 07/15/2009 12:09 AM PDT

petey!!! you're still out there! that's so comforting. been thinking about you, as well. miss you. a few of the old gang are now on facebook, which is nice. not the same as it used to be here, but nothing ever will be. even in our old age, it would take a lot to erase those memories. much love to you and yours... and to any of the old gang who peek in here now and then. i'll leave some snacks on the table, in case anyone gets hungry. *****careful square...remember you're getting old!!! we've been thinking about you and the rest of the gang and hope all is well in your lives. just dropped in and read the sad news from race about her husband. seems like yesterday that we were all engrossed in the chaotic lives of the six feet under cast. take care of yourself and hello to anyone out there lurking!!! peter -- "moral indignation is jealousy with a halo."

holy moly... this joint is still standing!! i thought they'd have the windows boarded up, and a faded "for sale" sign nailed to the door. well, since i'm here, i may as well say something worthwhile. not that that's ever stopped me before. the new season of BREAKING BAD starts tonight. HELL, yeah. -- "i'm in pieces"

grazie mille, ianmia! hope all is well in canda! i'm still in italy...! and thanks to airborne, and emergen-C, i've yet to catch a cold, or get a hangover. whoo hoo! i have to say, it was quite surreal to watch the election coverage from so far away. i woke up at 5am, just in time to learn the results. ahhh... it was a great day! all my friends here are just as happy as we are. last night, we celebrated my birthday, and gave a toast to obama, too, with a 2004 vino nobile di montepulciano. -- "i'm in pieces"
