Episode 86: Made in America (1 - 5000)

Dr. Melfi has cut her ties, Silvio's in a coma, and Bobby has been derailed - now, there is no more hiding. Now that you’ve heard about it, tell us what you thought about the Finale of the Sopranos.

pretty realistic mobsters if you ask me. phil was getting out of hand and causing too much publicity. something had to be done for the future benefit of both outfits.

I am not looking forward to any of the shows on HBO at this time. It used to be I couldn't wait for Sunday and my favorite shows. Rome, Deadwood, Sopranos, Carnivale. You are missing out on the people that made you what you are today. Your HBO movies have been outstanding. Are you going to start making them without any integrity also. I don't know if I can continue HBO much longer.

in regard to the whole same shirt...different shirt issue.....i am not sure this matters or has any significance but i have rewatched several times and can clearly state that.......The shirt tony is wearing when he arrives at the restraunt is the same shirt he is wearing when he is seated at the table....you can tell by the collar right before he comes in...grey on the front where the small wings are near the button and the rest of collar is completely black........however.....its not the same shirt he is wearing when he visits junior.....if you rewatch both scenes you will see what i am talking about....look at tony's collar beneath his jacket right before he enters restraunt and when he is sitting down at table with coat off....its clearly the same collar and shirt. Now when you rewatch the scene at the hospital with junior......it is clearly a different collar and shirt but same coat......you get the best glimspse of the collar right around when the orderly says excuse me sir....THE ENTIRE collar is GRAY like the shirt no black on it what so ever. Rewatch it...youll see what i am talking about you can see entire shirt collar clearly in both scenes and their is no arguing they are different....who knows maybe he returned home after visiting the hospital even though it didnt show it.....maybe it was just a production error or oversight...if the scenes were filmed on different days...from Meeting with Jr. to Ice cream Parlor there is a shirt change.

It doesn't make any sense because it didn't happen. I saw the same ending as most have on the HD feed out of Atlanta. I'll check the standard feed when I get home in a few, but I'm not expecting anything different.

Fine, don't give us a real "ending". Life goes on... I get that. Go ahead and make your movie. I'm sure you'll make millions more. But all we got was a joke played on us and a "Ain't I clever" type of thing that only benefited David Chase. Shame on him.

Ok, people. Season 6, Part 1, Episode 12 - "Kaisha"

When Tony visits Phil in the hospital, Butch stands to receive him. Next to Butch, reading a paper and talking on the phone, sits Nikki Leotardo! At least that's who people say he is. Either way, the guy who plays the "Man in Diner", Jimmy Spadola, is clearly a relation of Phil's. Tony was killed, my friends.

I think this statement is incorrect as it doesnt appear Jimmy Spadola was in the episode that you reference:

All kinds of people (particularly in the New York families) would be motivated to kill him, for the same reason that Phil wanted him killed: to cut out the middleman. He was clearly in a position of weakness, having lost Sil, Bobby, and Christopher in a short period of time. There was also a suspicion that someone had or was about to flip, and Tony had been talking to the feds.

Given the motivation to kill him it would be particularly easy to find him. He was not hiding, and tailing his wife, or son, or daughter would have led to his location.

You mean she was carrying a child and then aborted it?

Carmella would never, ever support that, nor be coy about it.

The only two that stuck out to me were:

I Did it My Way
Don't Stop Believing

The first represents old school mafia, glamorizing the past and self-indulgent. The second represents moving forward with hope. And that's the way Chase wanted it.

the last thing you see is tonys face, unless you pause it at that exact scene and play jay-z 3rd album backwards on vinyl. When Big pimpen comes on, play the rest of the scene in slow motion, you will see meadow walk through the doors with a rubber spiked dildo and a half pound of gabbagool conveinently placed over her nipples. Chase is a genius. his dauther is so hot too

I have to admit I was short of excited by the end of the finale of the sopranos. After last episode, I was expecting an old school mobster experience!!! and I waited and waited and waited I was yelling at meadow to park her damn car because I wanted to know what was going on in the restaurant... Mr. Chase do not use the limited pay phones in oyster bay Long Island... LOL Great series, great job... maybe a MOVIE????

"Hey all... I read some Soprano's Blogs at lunch today...

I really need to watch Ep. 86 again but now I'm thinking... what we saw was totally different then what we thought we saw.

I'm starting to think Tony;s dead and was killed when he walked into the diner.

Think back... was the diner scene Tony or was it Kevin Finnity? I think it was KF.

I now remember noticing that Tony was wearing a totally different shirt from when he left Jr... the next scene was of him walking into the diner... I remember thinking seeing him at the table "That shirt was the same one Tony was wearing in his KF dream state".

I even remember a moment when Tony walked in and saw himself which was very strange but it was all happening so fast I didn't think twice about it.

If I remember correctly... Tony was talking to Jr. and saying "Don't you remember me? I'm Tony"... so that was Tony. Then a cut if Tony walking into the diner... Does anyone rember what Tony was wearing? I don't think it was the same shirt right at first. I even think there was even a "Flash" right befor he saw himself. Was Tony shot?

I need to really watch that in slow motion but there's a chance Tony was shot in the head and it then switched to a KF dream... then "Fade to Black" all from Tony's perspective.

Think about it... If he was really shot it would go from Tony, to KF, to black... all in a flash!

Something to make you go.... Hummmm!!!!!!!"

Except Carm and Tony discuss Carlo testifying, that does not jive with KF's salesman life.
