This was when she told him how she felt about Furio.

If he was ever going to abuse her, that would have been the time

We have never SEEN him hit her before. If you watch the season 4 Finale called "Whitecaps" he came pretty close. They had a big blow-out and he had a look in his eyes like he wanted to beat her to a pulp. He punched holes in the wall right next to her instead.

Because of this, I am going to assume that Tony really does not resort to wife beating. He may smack some whore girlfriend though, but hitting Carmella has never been seen.

That's what makes The Sopranos so special.

the actor blew his Sopranos chance by getting arrested for:

Don't you think DC has enough loose ends from previous years to make an exciting ending in 5 weeks than to keep adding new issues to convolute the everything?

It really makes it difficult for us to guess what will happen next. I hate that!

It's been a real pleasure hanging out with you guys and shooting the fat.

Tony has talked about gambling before, this isn't new. One time was with Junior as he was recalling their dead pal, the inventor of point shaving.

But the story with Bobby is starting to look like a rip off of a movie. Bobby will continue to "darken", getting a sharper and harder edge, and will eventually whack a couple of people - probably big characters.

And IF that happens, it will be a blatant ripoff of "Full Metal Jacket": the fat, dumbass recruit in Marine basic who is always fucking up, always getting abused, and ends up being a total hardass...who eventually empties a rifle into the drill instructor's chest.

Bobby is "born again hard", as the line in Full Metal Jacket went. I think Chase shoplifted this plot line.

Overall, not my favorite episode, everyone seemed to be acting a bit out of character, but maybe that's the progression that has been going on all along and we're finally being let in on it. I'll probably watch it again and like it more. Same thing happened for me with the season opener.

And I agree, yes the camera work was kinda distracting. I appreciate them trying something new, but it just made my head hurt.

But I wanna go back to something for a sec. Remind me, have we ever seen Tony hit Carmela? I believed her in "Soprano Home Movies" when she said he's never been physical with her. But she didn't seem as surprised or upset as I would have expected when he came at her. As much as I think she's a hypocrite, I felt bad for her there.

Are we to assume (or do we know) that this has happened before?

I just did a google search on Edie Falco to see what she said about the sets (they were dismantled), and came across this odd or interesting article about our blonde Soprano

Any chance Tony bones Dr. Melfi before THE END?

Is Dr. Melfi better in the sack than Carm?

Anybody else agree that AJ would be happier with Ginny Sack than with the 'Rican whooore?

Paulie and Meadow? Just a thought.

So many possibilities; so little time!

I've been reading reviews and stuff around the net saying that the gambling angle just popped up out of nowhere. I have a response to this. If you notice in past seasons fall is always refered to as the "busy season" refering to football and basketball season in progress. In fact Tony is being updated on the volitile college football lines in Dr. Melfi's office in one scene. ( "Keep me posted on Duke/ Wake Forest" ) Gambling is a big part of these people's life, a major money maker. I happen to think that Tony being prone to self destructive behavior has gambling get under his skin for a while and though he got a little scary there will snap out of it and get back on track and so will the rest of this season ( not that it is off track ) meaning that they will focus on other more important storylines other that Tony's compulsive gambling.

P.S. Tony's bookie is most likely an outside bookie, Chrissy and Bobby's bookmaking operations kick up to Tony. Why would Tony want to win money he's already getting a piece of. Just a thought

I think her death is going to be another way Hesh makes out like a bandit, striking big on another black woman, like he did with the song rights from all the black singers in the 60s.

Did you notice she was taking some kind of prescription medication, flomax, and with that VIOXX shit you know maybe Chase is gonna throw in something where her death leads to a lawsuit and Hesh makes out like a bandit.

I'm watching Employee of the Month on A&E now and i seen where Tonys Dad tell him a MAN honors his DEBTS, and we can see TONY did that.
