Did anyone catch a look at Gandolfini last night on the red carpet? He looked a lil thinner!

It happened off-camera, between Seasons 5 and 6

Hi,
The Sopranos story wasn't told in a straight, linear fashion, with all the details leading one after the other. There are gaps, by design and not by error: the writing is taking that liberty. You'll find that true in other events you'll see in season 6. In other words, some of the storyline was left "off camera," so to speak.
Enjoy!

after x-mas i got hooked and watched the whole series. i borrowed seasons 1-3 box sets from my bro, and got 4 & 5 at the library. the friendly folks at the library did not have season 6 so i went to Hllywd Vid, something got ###### up.

I rented season 6 Parts I and II, got home and read the boxes, part I said episodes 10,11,12 and part II said episodes 8,9(being the final episode)

looking back i should have known something was up with only two discs for the whole season.

So i missed a bunch of season 6, missed micheal's exit.

What's up with this part I and II crap? i must have got some chinese rip-off discs.

anyway i loved the series, except the end of course. my thoughts on the ending is david chase felt he wasn't getting enough cheese and said 'fuggit i'll end it all right now'

You know Rapacia, I thought that was odd too! "Rising Damp" was an old TV series from the UK (really funny too!) from the early 70's, and the term rising damp means "effect of porous masonry sucking up water from the ground, rather like blotting paper. Where present, moisture can rise up the wall to a height of a metre and it will often leave a characteristic horizontal 'tide mark'."

I don't know, but considering what was going on between Janice and Bobby Jr., I wonder if she was referring to herself as the "rising damp" as a really obscure sexual reference? lol :O

Just a thought! :-D

Hope this helps!

Good morning everyone!

A nice big welcome to ReggieBlade and Rapacia. Reggie, I agree wholeheartedly! Rapacia, this area is fine for anything. I am not sure of the answer, but will try and research it for you.

Hope everyone is having a great day so far!

I think she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 03? It would make sense if she did need a wig after treatment.

Great episode Joey I agree! You know I don't remember having a dream myself but I catch myself daydreaming at the strangest times and about the weirdest things. I've had a few dreams with Tony and Paulie in them, lol.

What was your dream about Joey if you feel like sharing? :)

Its so weird, last night, I was watching Season 5, last three episodes of the season, which is one of my favorites, and you know how Tony had that dream. I had weird dreams similar to that last night. Not as gruesome, but similar in relations.... Ever had a weird dream after watching that episode?

I just got registered and signed in. Sorry if I'm in the wrong area - I'm hoping someone can answer this question or at least weigh in with a theory. In The Sopranos, Season 4, "Calling All Cars" episode, when Janice is instant messaging Bobby Jr., why does she call herself 'Rising Damp?' I'm flummoxed.

I have been watching the DVDs and it seems like Edie Falco was wearing a wig in season 5.
