Theories - speculations. How did you like this weeks epi? Season opener! Some survivor's of Oceanic Flight 815 appear to get unlost. We know why Lock didn't want to leave the island, because he thinks the island has some powers because he can walk. Does Rose's cancer come back? Who are the Oceanic SIX? We know Hurley, Kate and Jack are three of the Six survivor's that were rescued from the island. It is obvious that there are people left on the island, and Jack doesn't want Hurley to tell that there are people left on the island OR did they get 'rescued' from the island AT ALL? Jack is desperate to go back. Do their lives fall apart after being 'rescued'? Who is Jacob? - that cabin and Jacob are seriously freaking me out. I love the recaps - they are very helpful when you have so many characters. I still want to know what became of Walk and Michael. I hope they didn't just write them out and they wont ever show what happened to them. Are Walt and Michael part of the Oceanic Six? Loved the epi. I recorded it and I am going to watch it again.

I watched the first two episodes of Season 1 of Lost again tonight. The orange slice in Locke's mouth looks like Brando in GF. I didn't notice this on the first view. When the music plays during the smoke monster scenes it sounds similar to the music played in Jaws when the shark is in the vicinity. That! had me laughing.

OK, some more thoughts: I don't know about Harold Perrineau's comments but I do know I think that Michael's story was cut significantly short. There was more potential, ecpecially considering Walt. And what was told this season doesn't entirely work for me. Did The Island keep him alive long enough for him to allow Sun and Aaron to get off the freighter alive? Was that the whole point? Perhaps the writers will make sense of it over the course of the final two seasons. Ah, the Lost community and digital audio software are great The phone call that Flash-Forward-Kate received (right around the vision of Claire telling her never to take Aaron back) is incomprehensible until played backwards. Backwards, it says, clear as a bell, "The Island needs you. You have to go back before it's too late," repeated. My first impression on hearing it is that the voice sounds like Locke's. Maybe it doesn't matter but it's interesting. Then I come to the question of what "bad things" happened after The Six left. With Widmore's mercenaries dispatched and Ben off The Island, what is the threat/danger that The Others/Natives/Hostiles, led by Locke, are faced with? I am not conVINCEd that the apparition of Christian Shephard is a bona fide representative of Jacob. I'm not sure if either one of them is "good," but rather may have some evil motive. There's clearly mixed messages about what's "supposed to happen." Who knows... Sun vs. Widmore? I don't buy it for a second. The writer's and the actress who plays Sun will have to do some serious work to get me on board with this angle of the story. BTW, Widmore has a cameo role in Indiana Jones & The Crystal Skull. Also, I recently saw the last episode of The X-Files and he's a creepy-behind-the-scenes-consortium character at Mulder's trial. Maybe he'll be in the X-Files movie this summer. Maybe it's a set up for Mulder and Scully to come to The Island in season five. Then it will turn into a triple tie-in when the anthropologist Charlotte calls on her old friend and archaeologist with a whip and fear of snakes. OK, that's enough of a tangent.... Is is possible that Ben knew about the C-4 on the freighter? He was very specific in telling Jack that he and his friend's would want to be on the freighter within "the hour." The implication was to be out of the sphere of The Island move, but did he intend for The Oceanic Six to be killed? Was his murder of Keamy a premeditated part of a plan (Ben always has one) rather than a heat-of-passion reaction? I feel bad for Ben regarding the death of Alex. However, I'm more and more willing to believe that he is being painted as more sympathetic only so the writer's can pull the rug out from under that premise to show that he really is as evil as we initially thought when we first met him. Finally, since The Island seems to have moved by submerging I'm predicting that season five will be the Scuba Season! That's right, all Island action will be underwater and Locke, The Others, and The Losties will have to wear scuba gear for the next seventeen episodes -- Check out THE MOST PERCEPTIVE AND INTELLIGENT SOPRANOS BOOK EVER! -- Edited by supervince at 06/06/2008 8:48 AM PDT

Michael IS dead! Lost star Harold Perrineau Jr. has hit out at the show's producers for stereotyping its black cast. Perrineau Jr - who played Michael in the hit show - will not be appearing in the hit series' fifth season. And he believes his race was a factor. He says, "Listen, if I'm being really candid, there are all these questions about how they respond to black people on the show. "Sayid gets to meet Nadia again, and Desmond and Penny hook up again, but a little black boy and his father hooking up, that wasn't interesting? Instead, Walt just winds up being another fatherless child. It plays into a really big, weird stereotype and, being a black person myself, that wasn't so interesting." But the show's executive producer Carlton Cuse says, "We pride ourselves on having a very racially diverse cast. "It's painful when any actor's story line ends on the show. Harold is a fantastic actor whose presence added enormously to Lost."

LOL Vince ... The actor who played Micheal, contract not renewed, and they couldn't keep his son in the series due to his growth as a teen. I like the Star Wars analogy, (creators loved these films, keep the franchise going). I'm wondering if Widmore isn't one of the, "good guys." -- The place for Granny's and Tranny's

OK, some thoughts: Michael & Jin sure have bad luck with boats exploding offshore of The Island. I believe Michael is finally dead. Jin, though, seems likely to be alive, if only for purposes of more interesting drama. While clinging for survival on a piece of floating wreckage, I would like to see him contend with the reappearance of the Dharma shark! It seems likely that his path will intersect with Faraday as a rescuer in the Zodiac raft. Then the question is whether or not they moved with The Island or whether they are simply adrift in the wide open Pacific. I'm thinkin' it's the former, again for dramatic purposes. So, that means that The Island Losties will now consist of Sawyer, Juliet, Jin, Faraday, Charlotte, Miles, Rose, Bernard and a few redshirts (10-20?). I'm now placing Locke in the Natives/Others/Hostiles camp. My question is if he will unite the two groups or keep them separate. Saving The Island from Widmore is accomplished for the moment but there has to be a greater purpose to be accomplished. What is it? Ya got me. IDK. This looks like it's gonna hinge on getting to pick the brains of Alpert and Jacob. In hindsight, it seems implied that Widmore was the Others' leader before Ben and that it was he who ordered The Purge of Dharma. Was he once the prospective chosen one who went bad? I generally recoil against such analogies but Annakin Skywalker/Darth Vader comes to mind. It is also logical to infer that the reason Widmore can't go back to The Island is that he, too, was responsible for moving it. The next question is, 'Why?' How did the polar bear skeleton end up in the Sahara Desert? Did it move The Island, too?! Was the bear with Widmore when he moved The Island? Is the frigid Orchid core where the polar bears live/originate? Is it possible that this connects to the polar bear cave from which Mr. Eko was saved? Is there an underground/underwater connection to the Hydra Station? Was The Island once in the Arctic and simply hadn't fully thawed? Where is The Island moved to now? One theory builds on previously mentioned special locations of the earth with magnetic/healing powers such as the Australian outback location that Bernard took Rose. Perhaps The Island moves between these special locales. OK, time to catch my breath... -- Check out THE MOST PERCEPTIVE AND INTELLIGENT SOPRANOS BOOK EVER!

I read Paik industries on Sun's business card. I believe Jin is alive ...there was floating wreckage, so survivors a possibility. I still believe the island is in part a, "sin and redemption model." After all, "aren't our survivors lost on an island, but lost to themselves?" Biblical references, scientific, philosophical, psychological, (complex series). IMO, the more elaborate the series, the greater the game. -- The place for Granny's and Tranny's

Ok, just watched the second time. A few notes and observations and questions... Nerdy, Sun handed Widmore her business card. Lepeadis' map to and from the freighter show that he must fly towards the left and then hang a sharp right at some point. In sort of an upside down check mark shaped route. Although time appears to be at different points between the freighter and the island (i.e. dead DR. alive), communication seems instantaneous. So many biblical references, if someone with more knowledge than I could help - I know Aaron is the priest, and his brother Moses is the one who leads his people to freedom. Do we have any idea who Aaron's father is? I can't recall. Or could the uncle be the Moses in this story? There is some reason Jack must return. And John. Wasn't John the Baptist thought by some to be the messiah at first? But he said, no, the messiah is coming. Could this be the case with Locke as well? He seems to have a lot of miracles going on around him, but maybe it is not he who is meant to be the one. I'm betting Jin's alive. Wizard of Oz references - alternate universe where people find their inner strengths?

Dharma Initiative tape mentions Casimir Effect, (wormholes).... dual universe is still in play. Ha! We have so much ambiguity, it can go in any direction right to the end.

I'm viewing Ep 2 of the 3 part ending of Season 4. Convo between Ben and Freighter Commander ... Com: I don't undertand why Widmore would pay so much money for me to capture you. Ben: Did he also tell you to kill my daughter? No answer .... Widmore may not have ordered the hit ....
