Well here we go with a baseball thread for all. I have some opening thoughts, but everyone feel free to chime in. Pitchers and catchers in two days.

Jackson, Kennedy & Coke for Granderson?

Plus Bruney is gone.

granted, these are not "Core-Four" material here but it seems like the Yanks are giving up more than they are getting.

Tyler Kepner of the New York Times is reporting Austin Jackson, Coke, Scherzer, and Schlereth to the Tigers, Edwin Jackson and Kennedy to the D'Backs, and Granderson to the Yankees pending medical stuff.

Now the Yanks should sign Lackey because they don't have to give up prospects.

I know, but I'm back at an office job (substitute teacher's aren't getting paid here anymore) so I'd thought I'd come check it out.
It's so fancy now!!

Yes, I've seen that video and was very tempted to post it on Facebook.

I changed my mind as it might have looked as I was "piling on" Ferrari guys.

i thought you were a fan of his. sorry if i was mistaken.

i never saw a giants team simply quit the way it looked like they did on thanksgiving. after yesterday, i don't know what to think. it does seem like there's some heart in that team after all. i think the philly game sunday is the most important. i think they can handle carolina, washington and what will most probably be the vikings scrubs the last game of the season.

i suppose that in a lot of ways woods has popularized the game more than even palmer and nicklaus did and i understand what these people you speak of are feeling. they are not traditionalists however. the current game played with space age materials that let you hit the ball way further than you could with balls and clubs from even 15 years ago is not traditional at all. neither are the 7600 yard courses they have to play majors on now on now. there's basically no such thing as a par 5 in the tiger era. everyone goes for the green on the their second shot on a par 5 now. i however was perfectly happy with the game before tiger came on the scene. i would much rather see a norman/faldo or a couples/love faceoff than a woods/toms snorefest any day.

golf's all about discipline and repetition. for each kind of shot, you have a mental checklist you go through. then you have to do it exactly the same way every time you hit that shot.
