So ridiculous this show is being cancelled. How can such an intelligent show with such obviously creative writers not be able to come up with ideas for a second? I could see if you were 8 seasons in but come on...If that is the case you've obviously chosen the wrong profession

"Please!! "Tell me" it's not true! I absolutely love this show and cannot belive it is being cancelled. Please reconsider writers!!!" Tell me about it. So POed this show is cancelled! I thought this show was brilliant! This and Bill Maher are the only 2 things I ever watched on HBO. If bill maher goes, I will cancel my hbo. Sick of all the dumb movies played over and OVER.

Please bring back! I can't beleive that a show that was so well made (different and provocative) was cancelled. Is that the official word? Its content was overwhelming in a good way. Made me try harder in my own relationship. I really hope they reconsider.

It's really sad that a second season isn't planned for this show. Why not? The show is great and the therapy part far surpasses anything on television...far surpasses "In Treatment"... I guess we viewers don't get quality shows if one like this isn't renewed. Well, I'll turn my TV off more often. Or rather will turn it on infrequently.

Is it a joke that the show is not coming back for a second season? Seriously, I loved this show! Change your minds writers!

I am too VERY disappointed they're not renewing the show! I LOVED this show. I was always ready to see what was gonna happen next with the couples. I hate that I even started watching it because I was really looking forward the 2nd season.

I LOVE(D) this show!! I'm so disappointed the creators/writers couldn't find a direction to take it. I was captivated by these characters & looked forward to every twist and turn their lives took. There were (and are) infinite directions to take these characters & the show as a whole. That they couldn't come up with something is just plain shocking. Also, anyone who didn't like the show must have found it too close for comfort. I actually found the raw vulnerability & candor refreshing. The show will be missed. -- Edited by fididdley at 07/28/2008 3:02 PM PDT

"Unable to find the direction of the show for the second season." So why renew a series with no sense of purpose in the first place, HBO? Maybe mini-series like Generation Kill and John Adams are the way to go when almost every other regular show is either abbreviated in length or done away with altogether - cut down in its prime by your network. In the case of TMYLM it was the creator's decision to terminate the series - a true lack of vision! WTF or FTW? You decide.

I didn't start watching this show until the last couple episodes aired last year but caught up with reruns. I LOVED it. Some might have called the series slow or overly graphic, but it was intending to be starkly real. And in an age of ridiculously produced reality television, I really appreciated the realism TMYLM attempted. The characters reminded me of people I know, feelings I've felt in relationships and how we're all screwed up in some part in how we relate to other human beings. It's a real shame there won't be more. I think this show gave people a reason to try to communicate and maybe opened some to seeking a counselor. I hope that whatever HBO puts in its place is as good or better - because the bar is high. -- Edited by aprila711 at 07/27/2008 9:13 PM PDT
