Who are the writers and films/shows that inspired you? I've been watching a lot of Bergman and I can see a bit of that, maybe a shade of Herskovitz/Zwick, and you're flying on a level that's peer to peer with them and then some. The only TV characters I can really put on a level with yours in terms of maturity are Furillo and Davenport on Hill Street Blues, intelligent, strong, accomplished people who still have to face some serious interpersonal issues. This show just knocks me out, you really get that life supplies more than its fair share of drama on its own, so there is no need to contrive any. The cast is phenomenal, some of the things that are done wordlessly are absolutely unforgettable. I really hope there's more to come, and knowing the Nina Simone project is in your hands is fantastic. Music tip: Michael Brook & Lisa Germano's song "Want", from his album RockPaperScissors. It makes me think of your show and your characters. All the best to all from Saskatchewan, Canada.

Is this a question for the shows creator. Ha!!!!! In my opinion Hillary could run this country as well as any man, if not better. Barack is ok for second choice to me. Hillary has not got the fair chance from the media. If there was something about her and a lobbyist the media would of been all over her. John McCain is going to be a wild ride for this country if he gets elected. This country is so sexist and racist it is sickening. Bush Jr. has been a lousy president but this damn country (neo-con) elected him. He came to the town I live in and I would not have crossed the street to see him. Mataio your sexist comments about her is ridiculous. Obama is not the guy to run this country and he should be looked at just like Hillary, McCain and that Huckabee. It reminds me of 7 years ago when these idiots elected bush no#2. Obama has been gave so far a free ride. His wife should have to explain her remarks her husband is running for the most powerful position in the world and now she proud of our country. WOW!!!! Tell Me You Love Me is probably the most realistic-ly (is this a word?) written and relate-able show I've consistently watched in a long time. I'm not in an unfortunate situation, have an intolerable living situation or am an unhappy person hoping this TV show will psychologically open my eyes to answers I can't figure out; I'm just someone who loves HBO, wanted to watch something that appeals to people I go to work with, my family and friends. What a wonderful cast, material, topic(s) and performance. I love this show and pray nothing changes .. only an increase or rebirth of episodes! Myself and every other girlfriend I know are addicted AND were crushed when it ended. The reason why "reality" is a rage is because they are a reflection of normal unrehearsed characters dealing with relate-able situations. Well you know what, this is a hybrid of reality and rehearsed. The characters honestly become us, our fears, our wrong decisions, our mistakes and our weaknesses. It's wonderful and real and I don't feel lame watching it (which some people do watching reality shows). Stay.. please stay and grow. - From Vanessa, the women of SF city, Marin county and the East Bay.

I have nothing to ask, but tons to share. First and foremost, Congratulations!!!!! and I am praying that this drama is on for years to come. How raw and real and smart. I know that this has all to do with great writing, so kudos to the writers. But props put out to these awesome group of 'real' actors. I think at times or at one time, we can all identify with each and every one of the characters. Thank you for keeping it real and for a fluid sense of connectivity with your audience!! I'm intrigued. The first episode was quite shocking! I knew nothing about the show and how smart to start it out with hard core intimacy. Sexuality is all a part of human nature, but the portrayal of it was played smart to the audience to draw us in and I really wasn't sure where the series was going to go. And it's refreshing to see some male 'stuff' for a change. I mean why as women are we exploited? But as it unfolded and the essence of all of the relationships are exposed the viewer is hooked. I was. I get it and I'm addicted. In one nite, I had watched six episodes On Demand and didn't get to bed until 5:30. I finally finished the last two up tonight and can't wait for the next season to start. The show just leaves you with so much to think about, paradoxically about the actors and the show, but of how it is your life too. Way to go! Keep it coming! A million Thank you's!!!!!!!

I just want to say thank you to Cynthia Mort for creating such an amazing high quality production. I am not usually a TV viewer but I have been mesmerized from the first episode and found myself each week looking forward to Sunday night. I am personally going through relationship issues and watching the show with my partner was incredibly helpful in stimulating discussion, opening doors, and facilitating true and honest communication. I wanted to leave a message here just to say thank you for having such a profound and moving effect on my life through this work that you have created. I guess that is the goal of any artist and Cynthia you certainly succeeded. Thank you.

Your remarks are well taken. However, I stand by what I said. I'm a 62 YO married man who has been around the block a few times. Given Ms Mort's body of work and this latest achievement, she's demonstrated that she has a firm understanding, and empathy, for the human condition. To the causal observer, there is so much more than meets the eye in the material presented in this series so deftly acted under the direction of Ms Mort. Yes, I say it is good television because it gives some people hope and allows them to feel good about themselves and perhaps learn something from it.

Why is there no theme music? To me the show's theme music sets the tone for the show. For example, when you turn on The Sopranos and hear "Woke Up This Morning" it puts you in the zone to watch the show. "Way Down In The Hole" from The Wire does the same. I can understand being different with the subject matter and taking a creative chance. But every show needs some theme music that people can identify with it. Stringa..............
