Sometimes the pacing is a little slow and slightly boring, but I, for one, think the sex scenes are pretty hot.
The show is interesting and different. That makes it unique.

I've seen more than enough of of the whiney husband 'doing' himself, 'dangling things', the whiney wife demanding to have a baay-bee, and her husband complaining about HAVING to have to sleep with her- and Jane Alexander (as their shrink) lording over it all.
As if series such as Deadwood and Rome wasn't enough to appeal to people's primal urges, now it's time to trot out the porn. HBO has hemmed and hawed around when asked if the grapic acts were real. Of course it's not the REAL act among main-stream actors, but this stance (refusing to give a straight answer) taken by HBO is sure to bring in a mob- at least initially. But with these whiney, boring couples, the 'couplings' are just plain boring.

I love everything about this show. I also love the good sex scenes and it's about time we saw some penis instead of boobs all the time.
Seeing May do it was a bit disturbing, but good for her, old people need some action too.

I have seen Episode 8 and have some good news to report to those who have been worried:
1. There is penis (Dave's -- he looks great with no clothes!)
2. There is an african american actor
Michelle Borth fans will be in heaven with the very explicit sex scene in the beginning. It doesn't get any more real than that.
I love this show! All of the TMYLM haters should change the channel and quit complaining. So you don't like the show... we get it.

Luke Kirby (aka Hugo) is so gorgeous! I look forward to any episode featuring his amazing ass. Even better, his talent blows me away. Episode 7 he really came through and made me cry! Okay, enough of that...
Second, why is Jaime with this new guy? He's cute, but he looks like a boy...not a man. I picture Jaime with a man, to take care of her because she's so high-maintenance like a child. And Jaime and this new guy don't have ANY chemistry whatsoever on screen. Was that what the director was going for? Because it's not sexy or interesting to watch. New guy is pretty boring. Hugo is so likeable, you just want her to get back with him so he will be happy (even if he may deserve better...Jaime is what he wants, and you like him so much you just want him to get what he wants....) The show would be even better if the new guy she was with was just as likeable, to where you as a viewer are torn between who she should end up with. With this new guy, you have no choice but to root for Hugo hands down. Or at least I that's what I'm doing...
Carolyn is very pretty...but does anyone else get irritated with that ventriloquist doll thing she does with her jaw? And I swear, if I see old man balls one more time, I am going to vomit a little bit in my mouth.
Episode 7 was the best and most interesting so far. The end with Snow Patrol playing was perfect.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this show. I think the chemistry between Luke Kirby and Michelle Borth is unlike any I have seen on television before. I really hope that there is more of a focus on this story line , though I do enjoy the others too. ALL of the acting is phenomenal. The actor who plays Nick is doing a great job too. But, I am sorry, the relationship between Jaime and Hugo seems so real you can feel it. I am totally invested in the show and really want to see how it all unfolds. If Jaime and Hugo don't eventually find their way back to each other, THAT will be the unrealistic storyline, frankly. They seem made for each other. In that regard, I think we need to see more of Luke Kirby on screen as well. He has an intensity as an actor that is really amazing. He's hugely talented. The whole cast is terrific, but Borth and Kirby play off each other in a very special way that few actors can. (I also want to add that I really love the storyline about Katie and Dave. Another great pair of actors).
