After seeing the thread on the book club and writers it had me wondering if anyone here is a blogger. Do you blog about In Treatment, any other favorite shows, your home life? Is there therapy in blogging?

I'm a blogaholic too. I get drawn to so many different platforms just because I like to test drive all the stuff out there to see what I like and don't like. As far as the actual blogging part goes, I generally only blog when there's stress in my life, which means when there's not, my blogs die a lonely death. LOL -- Sky HBO Forums Host

Well, what can I say? I'm a blogaholic. Seriously, I have Xanga, MySpace, Facebook, Livejournal, and I think I have an actual Blogger page, but I can't even remember my login details for that, so never mind. I'm officially a FB addict who sort of ditched Xanga, but I'm regularly update my LJ still. As for MySpace...this is going to sound strange, but I'm a newbie to it (when people got it in the very beginning of the blogging generation). Therapy in blogging? Uh, sure. I do vent a lot in my blogs. And it works. To great effect. Hmm. This does NOT mean that HBO can replace Dr. Paul Weston with a friggin' blog for Season 2 of IT. Can you imagine a show based on blogging therapy? That'd be retarded, LOL. -- Visit Byrneholics today! =)

Hi, all: If I interrupted a discussion, I apologize, but I understand this is the only way I can make others on the IT forum aware of the new Quo Vadis thread on member created threads. The objective uo Vadis thread is to allow visitors to discuss problems of patients and methods for treating these problems for Paul to treat and use, respectively, on the second series of IT which hopefully will be shown. For example: Should Paul's new patients include a celebrity and a reformer, e.g., an attorney who defends the little guys on the bottom rung of society? Should the forum offer criticism of IT , Paul and GB as well as praise? What treatment regime would Paul use for a suicidal patient who is the head of a prostitution ring and resembles The DC Madam? Which treatment regime should Paul use for Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD)? See you on the thread. Thanks. Sciwriter P.S. Sciwriter stands for science writer. -- Edited by sciwriter at 05/06/2008 11:16 AM PDT

And so far I like it. But I do love all my pretty journals lol.

I blog off and on as the mood strikes me. I originally started my blog to be used as a dream journal but over time it morphed into any things goes. I found that it can be therapeutic and as far as dreams go, can over time reveal patterns and symbolisms that otherwise seem to be odd or out of place. -- Tim HBO Forums Host

> After seeing the thread on the book club and writers > it had me wondering if anyone here is a blogger. Do > you blog about In Treatment, any other favorite > shows, your home life? > > Is there therapy in blogging? I blog like an addict, LOL. It's a journal on the Internet, basically, and if you go into it as a journal, you can get a lot of therapy from it. The only difference between a blog and a paper diary is that your blog is out there for others to find. This can put a subconscious limit on what you write about, unless you're very careful to keep everything anonymous, but for people that happen across your blog of the same mindset as you, or facing the same problems, it is great to be able to connect with people like that and have them support you in your literary therapy lol. If you don't care to stay anonymous and want people to know exactly who you are when you write, this can be cathartic as well, but you have to be careful of what you write because some people can take offense even if what you are writing about wasn't meant to be offensive. -- Sky HBO Forums Host
