Finale Predictions

Will Paul tell Laura how he really feels or, will he stay faithful to Kate? Can Sophie forgive her parents for their mistakes and stop blaming herself? Will Jake & Amy stick it out or finally call it quits?

What are your predictions for the last three episodes of 'In Treatment'? What would you like to see happen?

I like your attitude, yep! as the heroine of "Juno" might say there were shenanigans aplenty in that last epi. most of them on the viewer..and I for one am HAPPY too that Paul did not sleep with Laura.

This is it. Tonight we find out about Paul and Laura. I hope. At first I was all for the Paul/Laura love fest but now I have my doubts. Laura being what she is, I have the feeling she would crumple Paul up and toss him away like a used Kleenex.

I hope that this is the right place to register my strong opinion about a second +++ season!

There is obviously a good following, and a growing one. Whenever I've told friends about the series and suggested they try it, they've become addicted. One friend actually skipped work this week to view all the episodes!

Another friend signed up for HBO just to see In Treatment. While it certainly helps that Gabriel Byrne is hot, the acting is superb; the format unique and fascinating; and the appeal is undeniable.

Is there any more we can do to make sure that this very intelligent show continues to bring us new and engaging episodes?

Don't fret. April 20th is just the last day you can view the shows "On Demand." All three new episodes air this week. I have On Demand, so I saw all three episodes as soon as they were released at midnight Sunday (well Monday) morning. They are worth the wait.

There is no Laura or Alex this week. There is only Sohpie, Jake and Amy and then the Finale..... Just finished watching it on Demand.

I believe the April 20th date is the last it will run on Demand. Then again I could be wrong!

Noooooooooo!!!!!! i can't wait till April 20th to find out what happens between Paul and Laura. The agony!!!!!!!!!:_|
I do wonder though if the sneak peeks are misleading. We catch a glimpse of him telling Gina he had a panic attack. However, I have noticed, they don't always play the previews for future episodes in the order that they appear in the actual running of the show. My nerves are shot!!!!!!!:O

I don't know why there doesn't seem to be a Paul and Laura tonight, but I have two quesitons. One, why does it say for the Season Finale:
'Paul and Gina - Week Nine.' In the Season One finale, Paul must face the consequences of his romantic pursuit of Laura. And, why does the series dates indicate 1/28/08 - April 20, 2008? What the heck are they playing all the way through April? Reruns?? Or are they waiting to play the Paul and Laura finale on April 20th??

It's never happened before because the circumstances have never been like this. With what has been going on in his life, marriage, practice, etc, he was prime and ready for this to happen. It's the total of all things that led him to this place in his life. Affairs never just happen. They are rarely magical or mystical. They happen because all the circumstances in a person's life make it possible for it to happen at that place and time. I do believe Laura just happened to be the right girl, in the right place, at the right time in Paul's life.

Sadly that's probably why over 50% of marriages end in divorce. People do just go for it and forget the vows they took with someone else. But what a lot of people don't know is 75% of second marriages end in divorce too. The affair relationship rarely pans out.

I really like Paul too, and want him to find happiness as well, but I do care about the cost, not just to others, but mainly to him. I do not believe a man like Paul would ever be truly happy walking away from not only his family, but from who he is and who he wants to be. He does not want to be his father, and if he gives in to this Laura fantasy, that is exactly who he will be. He doesn't want his sons to look at him the way he looked at his father, and that is exactly what would happen. He knows that. Seriously, could you really see him with Laura? Truthfully even watching the two of them at the funeral even seemed weird to me. I picture them in his office, during sessions. That's where the chemistry is. I don't really see it outside of that environment. He may have feelings for her of some sort, but they hardly have a relationship. Relationships are built on more than just one hour once a week. Laura talked about the intimacy they share. Well, yeah, that's the whole point of therapy. But what has he truly shared about his life to her? What does she really know about him? Does she know his favorite color? His favorite food? Places he likes to go? Does she know his kids' names? Ages? Where he grew up? The schools he's attended? I say, probably not. Laura just wants him and she is used to getting what she wants. Well, hopefully she won't get it this time.

These 3 sentences may summarize the essence of what we love about IT.
The quest for happiness.
The road one may travel to get there.
And the ramifications of our choices.

we just see it differently...and that's cool. All I can say are Paul's own words...he's been a therapist for over 20 years and never had this happen before which is why he went to Gina after not having spoken to her in 8 years. Laura is not the chick of the week, This is more than anything he has ever felt...so I do think it is real....as for the ups and downs of marriage, I'm not an expert there...so you may have the better view on it and are probably right about the ups and downs. I just see something between Paul and Laura that I can relate to and I don't know why. I've always been faithful in my relationships. I just see a chemsitry between them that is rare....and I think it worth going for. In the end, you will be right...he will not end up with her. I just want Paul to find happiness and peace of mind and I admire him for really searching for it, no matter what the cost. The road less traveled sometimes can make all the difference in the world. It may be a dead end but you'll always wonder unless you travel down it.
