Gabriel Byrne returns as Paul Weston

A psychoanalyst in his 50s, Paul has divorced his wife Kate and moved to Brooklyn for a fresh start. Practicing out of a home office in a Brooklyn brownstone, Paul commutes back to Maryland on the weekends to spend time with his two sons and daughter (when they have time to see him) and to see his therapist Gina. Facing a law suit filed by the father of one of his patients (Alex) who died in a questionable plane crash and dealing with his failed marriage and ailing father, Paul struggles more than usual with boundaries between his personal and professional life.

What would you like to see happen for Paul in Season 2?

Well, if he takes in a dog like Killer, believe me, the dog will remind Paul in a BIG way that it's time to get some attention..

Killer's fave trick is to spear you when you ignore him..X-(

I bet that Paul has a huge heart for animals..
I can tell...;)
and..
Maybe a dog would force Paul to take time away from work, so he could focus on more of his own issues?..?:|

Oh, in NYC, he could hire a dog walker..
Why, I'd love to apply for the job...:^O

You wouldn't really wish Paul on a dog would you? :O

The poor thing would probably never get to go out for a walk!

Paul would probably be way too busy daydreaming & lusting for patients like Laura to ever take the poor pooch out to potty!

Paul's too much in love with "himself" to love anybody else.

People also make time for things that are important to them.

Since Paul was always making time to spend with strangers (new patients like Sophie & Alex), rather than be with his own family, the message also becomes clear to them, that he doesn't really love them enough to be with them (same type of issue that Sophie's Dad faces at the end of S1).

Paul may have been around his family physically, but his mental state is another matter entirely.

What I'd like to see is Paul stop interrupting Gina all the time, & finally try listening to what she's attempting to say to him to try and help him.

That's probably also asking way to much from a BIG EGOTIST like Paul is though.
