Ladies, this just in - GB is going to be playing King Arthur in the NY Philharmonic's production of Camelot -- and it's going to be on television! http://www.showbuzz.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/04/02/ap/celebrities/main3991098.shtml Tickets are $65.00 to $165.00 and one of the articles I read said that there is going to be a reception afterwards where you can meet the actors, but I'm sure it's expensive, and on a social worker's salary I couldn't afford it. So I'll just have to tune it to PBS on May 8th.

I have to admit, I'm hiding my obsession from my husband. I think he knows a bit though, since I actually broke down and begged him to drive me to NYC to see Camelot. I stressed though that it was more to meet you ladies, which was 80% true. Since not going it hurts even more hearing of the success. He did catch some of Camelot on by accident and said, hey, your friends on... I'm sure he'll realize more when I go to NYC in October, won't he??

curly1b13 I, too, am sorry to hear of your losses - talk about a double dose. My deepest sympathies are with you and your family. These last few month reading the various threads on this forum I've found has helped me "lighten up" when I'm starting to feel stressed. The ladies give me a good laugh, make me forget stupid aggrevations and supply me w/endless minutia of GB. I have drunk the coolaid and am doomed as you say. My husband has been pretty good natured about this GB obsession but if it get too much maybe our husbands can form their own support group! -- Edited by Quinn2141 at 05/16/2008 4:06 PM PDT -- Edited by Quinn2141 at 05/16/2008 4:06 PM PDT

Oh Curly I am so sorry for your losses... last I heard it was just Gracie. I hope that your Dad hadn't been suffering; I'd give a king's ransom to have my parents back but not if they couldn't enjoy life as they knew it. So we are doomed - well knowledge is power. There could be worse things in life to cope with then GB in our lives. I was saying to someone, here on the boards I think, that one reason I'm having such a hard time adjusting to regular life after this crush is that in earlier times there was no automatic deliverance of news about the person. If you met someone, at a concert or where ever, that shared your appreciation for the performer, ok lusting madly after him let's just say it! you either phoned the person, from a land line at your house, or you wrote letters comparing the news. This internet gizmo is amazing. Had I had to wait to see/hear about Camelot I'd really be aged. These lines keep things moving which is both good and bad. Do you all realize that it's just been a week since Average met him and then tomorrow a week for the others? One short week and yet it also seems like forever. I hope things get less stressful for you Curly you deserve some good times now to balance the not so good. Good to hear from you Kathleen

So sorry....Yes, I've been gone. My dad's memorial service was in Florida right after my cat Gracie died, so I've been really out-of-it. That was why I couldn't go to Camelot....believe me, I would have been there if I had to sell my soul. And again, I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news...I think I told you all before (although Touched was dismayed to read it..) there is no getting over the GB addiction. You are hooked, honkered, signed, sealed and delivered to a life sentence (at least I have been for 27 years). What can I say? I adore the man. As all of you, I do have a regular life; married for 33 years, raised two sons, 55-years old, stilletto-wearing, weight-lifting, Psych Unit coordinator, with a passion for cooking. And, GB. Yes, my husband is sick of him. He only made it through two or three ITs before he grunted off. I think he officially hates him now. I made him get HBO so I could watch IT. If there is a second season, there may be a divorce. What to do, what to do? Oh, well, 33 years is longer than most! LOL! So, enjoy your habitual, insufferable, all-encompassing, suck-the-life-out-of-you addiction....I'm still really diggin' it. Love to you all.

Curly - they've been looking for you for days. Quick - what is the treatment for such a strong addiction? You've had the one with Him for so long, surely you can help us (Pmungle is beyond help, just keep her comfortable) with finding a way out of this maze can't you?
