The actor who played Jake was hot. I'm glad that he remained strong at the end and did not fall back into Amy's clutches - what a witch - her and Kate are alike.

Jake was pretty scary and kind of a jerk there for a while, but he seems to be getting it together, seeing things more clearly, and accepting that he and Amy aren't going to work out.
Amy, on the other hand, as you say, she has a hard time ahead on so many fronts. She should stick with therapy and work through her many issues, but that won't be easy. I found her to be a real pain in the arse, but, yeah, I feel for her and wish her the best.
Jake, nah. He's OK, just not my type.

Why does it have to be black or white with a couple? Jake is less complicated than Amy, and for that reason he seems more content. I really felt for Amy in the last episode, not because I think she's right and Jake is wrong, but because she's the one who has a lot of misery ahead of her and hard work if she's going to "right her ship." Those were her tears at the end, the impending agony of knowing she's got a heavy load to bear, and she will now be doing it alone. Plus, she just got canned by her creep of a boss. Jake will be fine, but Amy won't, and my heart goes out to her.
But Jake is cute, definitely!

I agree. I find Jake quite sexy. Amy is a malignant cancer. Jake can do better than her.
