"The Voice Awards honor writers and producers who incorporate dignified, respectful, and accurate portrayals of individuals with mental health problems into film and television productions. Sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the Voice Awards also acknowledge the tireless efforts of advocates who are working to reduce the stigma and discrimination associated with mental illnesses." While the nominations have been closed for 2008, it seems our show wouldn't have been included since it only aired this winter. SO- it can win a VOICE award for 2009! If you'd like to see the writers/producers (sorry, there's no actor's award) win for IT, follow the link below and send in your nomination. You can even request an invite to the awards ceremony (too bad CA is on the wrong coast!). http://allmentalhealth.samhsa.gov/voiceawards/nominate.html
