Ok ladies....I can't stop thinking about our "situation" here. We are all admitting to having a connection to these boards and Mr. Gabriel Byrne. I think that something needs to be done.
I propose this....in honor of Mr. Byrne's birthday, 5/12, we add 5 months and 12 days to today, 5/13. Curiously it turns out to be Columbus Day weekend. We/I/all of us organize an IT Bulletin Boards Posters Crew gathering. We can all maybe decide on a central meeting place that folks could get to taking into consideration the cost of people's travel arrangements, etc.
I'm thinking that we gather for a weekend of catching up, getting to know each other, share stories, videos, photos, etc.
I am so open to any suggestions, good or bad for this idea...I just think it just HAS to happen for us to be able to move on with our lives. And it would give us something to take our minds off of the addiction. We could call ourselves the Byrneaholics, as mentioned before in another thread.
What do you all think? I bet we got so many different, great people here that could make this happen and be terrific.

Not to worry. This girl will be manning the Obama phones come fall. I luffed Hillary, and still do (note: I am WAY to the Left of both of them).
McCain cannot prevail. I do think Obama stands to bring out more of the youth and minority votes and that is essential for taking the Senate and congressional seats that we need in order to not have a lame duck leader. Vote often!

AAAAAGH! I don't even want to think about McCain winning. I was a Hillary backer, but I will certainly back Obama now. Hell, I would back Fred Flintstone if it would keep McCain out.

Yeah, in 2004 I told my Kiwi hubby that if The Current Occupant was re-elected then we were definitely moving to New Zealand. He still teases me about when I'm going to start packing.

Canada wants to much to immigrate. I checked about four years ago after the last Presidential election. Belize on the other hand might be a nice choice. Land is still relatively cheap, english speaking, open immigration policy, stable government. The only down side to me is that it's sub-tropical which means no snow in winter, even in the mountains. I can't decide if I can handle 70 degree weather all the time. Also a slight risk of hurricanes, though they rarely get down that far.
New Zealand is another nice choice, but they can be picky about who they let in.
Not that I've done ANY research.
