Its finally finished. I have been trying for some time to find a digital version of the worlds sexiest movie so that I could try my hand at making a video. After borrowing various DVD/VHS players and approaching many internet conversion companies with no success, I have given up on waiting for the digital version. Where there is a will, a strong and obsessed will, there is a way. I stood in front of my television/vcr and recorded this with my digital camera. I apologize for the video quality of my little movie but, you have to give me an A for effort and in spite of the grainy and blurry quality, he is still goddamn stunning. For all you girls who have not yet seen ADW, you may see this as a spoiler, then again, you might see it as an appetizer. Birdie Doozer would be proud. I hope you guys enjoy. click here -- TouchedByThPoet More madness and fiction from "Touched" at http://touchedbythpoet.googlepages.com/home2 -- Edited by TouchedByThPoet at 07/31/2008 7:34 PM PDT

Glad you're safely on the ground, Touched! Luckily, you (or anyone else on the plane) didn't shout out, "We're ALL GOING TO DIE!!" (That happened on one of my lovely flights during a storm from a woman a few rows behind me - needless to say, it was unnerving). And back On-Topic, Yes, he DOES need to be in a romantic movie. Has anyone finished "Two Moons" - I assume he'll play a role in it (and I think there was some mention of the daughter bringing home the boyfriend?). Ummmm!

Please Gabe, please...tell Richard Gere to politely move over, hop in that bubblebath with Diane Lane and work your magic! We need to see him in a magnetic, leading man role soon, while the window is still open. Oh my yes, you KNOW you are so right about Gabriel and the open window, Ms. He's so intelligent and well-read that he probably has a taste for much deeper and complex storytelling, but what's a little confection of romantic comedy for the die hard hopeless and helpless romantics in the Gabriel Byrne fan base? Great location (Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Kin-tuh-uh-kay, Ottawa, London maybe?), cool soundtrack, stylish wardrobe, high-value set design, wonderful plot twists, and of course, the obligatory final romantic kiss against the fading sunset.......THE END. Such a great smile needs to be seen more....much more.....oh Gabe, hear our cry!!!!

It sounds like a couple of you were on the verge of having another lusty wench sunday! I watched a little 'end of days' last night. Now that I have FIOS, I can type "Gabriel Bryne" into my remote and it will find all the GB movies coming up and I can record them... THEY NEVER LIST ADW...dammit. I want them to show that on and HD channel so I can record it there... Meanwhile...there is the video... -- TouchedByThPoet http://sites.google.com/site/touchedbythpoet/Home

(Although I'm hearing from CNN > that the shuttle has to land in CA because of storms > in FL! Touched - any word on the weather?) Yes, I just got back yesterday and we "landed" if you can call it that....in the midst of quite the black, windy, rainy storm. I felt like I was on the shuttle trying to reenter the earth's atmosphere. I think at one part of the descent, as I was gripping the arm rest, I muttered "holy moly!" out loud. When the plane came to a standstill, the people on board clapped... It was like landing on a fucking aircraft carrier. anyway, its sunny, mild and beautiful today but last night was nasty. -- TouchedByThPoet http://sites.google.com/site/touchedbythpoet/Home

Your Gabriel Byrne mini-fest sounded quite fascinating......don't you just want to say to him, "Hey Gabriel, what would it take for you to get up into a Hollywood film with widespread appeal?" LL, maybe if we all chant loud enough he'll give in and appease us by doing a charming, romantic film. Please Gabe, please...tell Richard Gere to politely move over, hop in that bubblebath with Diane Lane and work your magic! We need to see him in a magnetic, leading man role soon, while the window is still open.

Feel better, Jtom....it's mild and sunny here in Southern Cal....definitely a reason to stay........maybe you need all that snow and slush to get that blue grass Kentucky is famous for. Your Gabriel Byrne mini-fest sounded quite fascinating......don't you just want to say to him, "Hey Gabriel, what would it take for you to get up into a Hollywood film with widespread appeal?" Since I'm a sucker for romantic comedies, I doubt GB would do that kind of movie. He should do a romantic comedy, though, because he's perfect for it. He does comedy quite well (MAD DOG TIME notwithstanding....yuck...poor Baby really can't sing to save his life......he is just NOT hearing the notes and he's perpetually flat, but I loved his Camelot performance anyway). Keep us posted on your film festival, Jtom.

I agree with etopt....the best thing one can do is read Gabe's interviews where he discusses his film roles....he's so insightful and multi-faceted in his approach to filmmaking that his perspective is essential to understanding and connecting to his offbeat choices Here, here! Back on line for the time being. Unfortunately, the "sore throat" turned into a full-fledged flu (or something nasty - aches & pains), so I've been confined to the bed and/or couch (and didn't feel like "crawling" to the computer!). Yuk! FORTUNATELY, it is given me the OPPORTUNITY in my hectic life to have my own mini-Gabriel Byrne "movie festival." So, will post more (after I get "caught up"). Still feeling a little yucky (AND it's cold, damp & we expect snow flurries tonight). Ohhh, to be in Florida right now! (Although I'm hearing from CNN that the shuttle has to land in CA because of storms in FL! Touched - any word on the weather?)

I thought that he was trying to type up invoices in ADW, Handymen and carpenters have to bill you and itemize ya know? Isn't that what he was doing? I got no hit that he was a struggling, or failed writer. I just thought he was put on God's earth to dig a mean hole and take care of women in need . And that is Holy as far as I'm concerned.

He was working diligently when Martha came to his door and offered him "Sauce with spaghetti under it." It was implied that he was a failed writer who had to work as a handyman.

Yup! 29!!! With B&W pictures! And they're LARGE pages (like a "coffee table"-sized book). I'll post some additional "quotes" from the book on here when I have a chance.
