A Dangerous Video

Its finally finished.

I have been trying for some time to find a digital version of the worlds sexiest movie so that I could try my hand at making a video. After borrowing various DVD/VHS players and approaching many internet conversion companies with no success, I have given up on waiting for the digital version.

Where there is a will, a strong and obsessed will,
there is a way. I stood in front of my television/vcr and recorded this with my digital camera.

I apologize for the video quality of my little movie but, you have to give me an A for effort and in spite of the grainy and blurry quality, he is still goddamn stunning.

For all you girls who have not yet seen ADW, you may see this as a spoiler, then again, you might see it as an appetizer.

Birdie Doozer would be proud.

I hope you guys enjoy.

Oh Sweetbud, what an AWESOME testimony!! To think that this forum played a part in the return of your zest for life just warms my heart. I'm so happy for you. Sieze the day, thread-Sistah!! March triumphantly each time into that gym and declare another victory during your workout routine!

Whatever delicious verve Mad Handsome reawakened in you is so much sweeter because you teetered so dangerously close to never having it again. You're fully doing YOU...and that's the best gift you can ever give yourself, your loved ones, your profession, your NEW man who is on his way to your path (let's keep the faith!), and your thread-Sistahs. Brava, Woman!!

OK, Sisters, I would like to testify. There is the mayhem of the MoJo madness, maintaining decorum, don't slip, it is challenging, but, as we all know there are sooch benefits. I would like to speak to 2 of mine.

As those who read the Luv thread know, my husband ( the last love of my life?) died 6 years ago. Only in the past couple of years did I begin to feel any sort of frisson, vague interest in some folks who xed my path. MH changed that! Full Blown interest. Understatement!, Fook me now... well, I realize he is not here, but sexual healing, nonetheless and, desire/ lust!

My other comment is that I was on a yoga retreat in Mexico at the end of February, I really hurt my back in the speedboat back to the mainland. Then 2 days after I returned, a late rainy night driving home from Oakland, an SUV hit me, knocked me into the exit lane...Well, it's good I survived.

Many docs , subpar care: 2 compression fractures mid- back, osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. This was just after I joined the threads. I felt, briefly, like I was an old woman, done for. The pain didn't remit until mid August.

Now I am back to the gym, back in my active life. Who saved me all those months, you did! My thread sisters, abso-fookin-lutely! MH and this community kept me alive when I thought I might be in pain forever!

My gratitude is endless, so I say to Virginia--let it RIDE!

Oh I didn't coin that phrase, someone else on these boards did, but it fits so well doesn't it. So yes, be my guest Diba, you may borrow it anytime you like.

I call it my Devine Agony..that longing for something you probably can never have.

Devine Agony; that's a really good word for it. If you don't mind, I think I will borrow that from you.

I haven't felt like this to a musician or a rock band before, but I feel almost the same to another actor, and that is Mark Harmon.
He brings out some of the feelings I have for Gabriel Byrne, but they are nothing like each other.
Except that I think they both are down to earth kind of guys, and I think that is a rare combination in the film industry today.

I agree with you Neek. Maybe hurting was the wrong word, even if it sometimes feels like that for me!

Oh no Diba I have to agree, it does hurt, I call it my Devine Agony..that longing for something you probably can never have. It's kind of like when we were young and what made us and everyone else scream when we saw or heard Elvis, the Beach Boys or the Beatles, just because we are older doesn't make that yearning hurt any less. I think that makes us human, and ALIVE!!

I am sure Gabriel has felt it at some point in his life too, so he would understand. :)

But he has also , like you said, improved my life so much, in so many ways, that of course I am grateful to have him in my life.

Welcome to the club VRN. We have all tried to "get a grip."

At one point I felt I MUST get a grip, especially when friends and family start to look at you like you could turn into a stalker lol. You'll find his name starts to come up in almost every conversation, Gabriel said this, Gabriel did that. He is MH beyond belief, but he is also such a good role model, it's hard not to repeat what he says, or what he thinks, he makes ME sound intelligent....my family should be grateful hahaha

But....I promise it does get more manageble, and thank god, cause we have season three (and another year or two talking about it) on the horizon, and I have a feeling these boards will get busier, and it will start all over again as we try to comfort those who we know are headed down a slippery path to Mojo madness..but he has improved my life, not hurt it, so bring it on!!

VirginiaRN;
Good to have you back, and I must agree the mojo madness never stop hurting.

Even though it is difficult to clearly recall, I believe I had a "normal" life prior to that fateful evening this past April when my brain and heart were hijacked by this man. He has taken up permanent residence within me, and I decided it was time to evict him.

This is exactly how it is, I don't remember what I did before he entered my life, took control over me.
It couldn't be that good if I am not remembering how it was!

Thank you all!

The exorcism was a miserable failure.

The time has come to accept this.... I am helpless in his hands. All I can think of is the moment after April faints and recovers, gets back up to leave and Paul tells her "you're not calling the shots here, I am!"
And he isn't kidding! Jaysus, this sure wears a body out. I no longer have the strength to resist. I surrender!
Buffalo Girls is next on the list of DVDs to obtain.
And the Madness continues.......

VirginiaRN.....we've all tried to avoid him. We really have.

Just let it ride....enjoy it. You are gonna try to figure it out, and then realize that there is really nothing to figure out. It just IS.

I don't want it to stop. It does slow down from time to time......but I love the MH rollercoaster.

Ohhhhhhhhh, he's sooooooooo beautiful and sweetly, romantically sexy in BUFFALO GIRLS. Yes, I love that film...he kisses a whole lot in that film and he looks absolutely masculinely luminescent. I just fast-foward to all of Gabriel's scenes...yummmmmmm.

Welcome back Virginia...we knew....we knew you were cratered...we've been there. We'll be here...we'll help you get through.

Oh, Virginia ... I tried that, too - utter failure. I was just miserable. My kids were all like, "Oh god, plug her back IN!" It was just after I watched Buffalo Gals which, for some reason, has affected me more than almost any other GB film in recent living memory.

But needless to say we're all delighted to see you back here and I was also chuffed to see you'd signed on over at Byrneholics, too.

It's a great craic.

Good Morning
Thanks for asking about me, I had no idea I would be missed! You ladies have been chatting with each other for so long, and know each other so well, I just
never thought you would notice my absence. Thanks you for that!

As I have just confessed to SB last evening, I have been away from the computer for several days trying to decompress. Yes, I did see ADW and it did have the effect I suspected it would. As a result, I decided to "get a grip". Even though it is difficult to clearly recall, I believe I had a "normal" life prior to that fateful evening this past April when my brain and heart were hijacked by this man. He has taken up permanent residence within me, and I decided it was time to evict him.
I went cold turkey>>no DVDs, no books, no PIMH, no James Joyce, no Yeats, no threads, no internet sites of any kind, no Capital Film Festival. Needless to say, I just felt worse.
So here I am, back from the failed exorcism. I will just struggle forward, maintaining the facade of normal professional, social and domestic behavior. Those who encounter me each day will never know they are dealing with a woman deeply in the grip of Mojo Madness!

Exactly. Sorry, I didn't mean to get obtuse (in my defense, I did tell myself to shut the f**k up. Too late.)

When I RSVPed her this morning I told her that inquiring minds wanted to know...

Thanks, Sweetbud...I had an inkling that that's what that statement meant, but I'm really only cheering from the sidelines, so I realize that there are things I just may not know.

Sounds like VRN is a "get it done" person, as we say in my neck of the woods...Brava, Woman!!
