Haha! Yes, first hubby has had to put up with me finding every possible movie or tv show on dvd which contains Ray Stevenson (Titus Pullo of 'Rome'). I even sat through the boring 'The Theory of Flight', just to see him. And he was on the screen all of 10 minutes. But it was worth it - he was hot!

So, I know what you mean about the eye rolling. Now hubby has to put up with me ordering all Gabriel Bryne-related dvds on Netflix.

Totally agree, Ms421.
Good thing the Internet is anonymous, huh? We can all admit our obsessions to each other in secret.

True confession (bless me, Father, for I have sinned): I just rented Smilla's Sense of Snow from the library to get my additional Gabriel Byrne fix. I will say, though, that this was a favorite movie of mine because of the storyline and Julia Ormond, and I actually (GASP!) forgot that GB also starred in it until people mentioned it on these threads!! Crazy. (stupid brain!)

As Paul would say, this thread is "fookin' hilarious." I have been laughing out loud, reading about all you ladies and how your bf's know about your GB addiction! I don't live with anyone, thank God, or they'd be seriously questioning my mental health with all this compulsive IT viewing.

Hehe, I remember rooting for the Professor and not Laurie (even though he was played by Christian Bale).

There's actually a fan video of Jo/Bhaer on YouTube at this link.

haha, your scrapbook reminds of the GB bulletin board i made when i was 13 or 14. i scoured the newspapers, whatever i could find, for pictures of him. too bad the internet didn't really exist then...anyway, that stupid thing was so elaborate. i hid it from my parents for some reason (maybe i was embarrassed that he was the exact same age as my dad?) but all my brothers knew of its existence--and they still tease me about it to this day. damn you, professor friedrich bhaer. you doomed me to a life of obsession with GB. he was so unbelievably sexy in *little women.* it still kills me...

I just checked - I have exactly 113 photos of Gabriel stored in my computer. Funny how my mom never found them...though she did find my scrapbook filled with pics of both Gerard Butler and Gabriel - and now she thinks I'm obsessed with much older men. NTS: hide things better.

I highly recommend the film Shade to anyone who just wants to fulfill her (or his?) daily GB fix. The film's pretty clever (even if you don't have the slightest interest towards gambling/poker), and Gabriel just looks...irresistible/indescribable. :-x

I knew I would start to feel the withdrawal around week 8. I'm panicking that HBO won't keep Season 1 up On Demand until Season 2 airs (hopefully) and I'll need a GB fix.

This is really crazy. I read all these posts, I get a laugh along with everyone else, but I'm comforted by the fact that I am not alone in this "mania." I can't figure it out. I have never, ever been so mesmerized by a man's attractiveness in my life. Now granted I know fantasy from reality like the next gal, but the sheer addiction of it all - feeling like I have to keep watching him, listening to his voice, is a bit unsettling. Since this show first aired, there has not been one day that has gone by that I haven't watched an episode, or sneaked in a few minutes of an episode, just to see him.

Ladies, how many times have you "googled" him, right? Crazy. I bet if you close your eyes, you can picture every one of his features clearly, right? Eyebrows, bridge of the nose, etc.? You can hear his voice without the TV being on, right?

It's funny and crazy. The man is too much.

GB is so hot, I have been daydreaming about him! My husband just shakes his head, he knows I'm addicted to the show and tonight I was telling him how next week is it and that I'm going to go nuts missing the show!

I keep saying they had better bring the show back and with the same cast!

My hubby is starting to really give me some strange looks. He's seen me go through crushes before (Russell Crowe for about 6 years), but it was never like this. The 5-nights a week has let us envelop ourselves in GB like no one before. It seems every time he walks in the room, he sees GB's face on the screen. He rolls his eyes and walks out. I make him listen to plot lines every morning. I speak with a brogue. He tries to hide a little smile when I say "fook" this and "fook" that. He tells me to get GB to help me when I ask him to do something around the house. When I ask him a question, he says I should ask my boyfriend (I only wish I could). I daydream constantly, and don't pay attention like I should to my kids sometimes. My mind is a million miles away, picturing GB. I am actually starting to get stomach aches, thinking of this show coming to an end! (And not because I saw my daddy get hit by a car while I was getting another ice cream cone). It's great to know I'm not alone! And what is this I've read about them maybe not getting GB for season 2?? That's total B.S. It would NEVER work without him. Someone jokingly said they might get Hank Azarria. That's pretty funny - he probably is someone HBO would think about. But we will only watch it with our GB, right ladies?? And they better be gettin' ready to start filming that 2nd season soon, because there are only so many GB films out there to rent or buy. Now I know how drug adicts feel. Just waiting for the next fix.

While I was hard at work today, I started stressing about how the next three episodes are going to play out. From the previews, there is Sophie/Dad on Wed, Jake/Amy on Thurs and how does Paul get from Laura's place to tell Gina's to tell her that he had a panic attack in 23 minutes? Just part of my panic attack at the end of the season.....

Hey, it sounds like he's training up nicely there . . . ROTFLMAO . . . has he figured out to use an Irish accent to get whatever he wants yet?
