my favorite paul moment this week is when laura kids him about his pot belly. his reaction is fabulous! go back and check it out. he smiles and does this little sideways look at her. no wonder she's bonkers! other moments include pushing the crap out of alex. gentle turns to macho, one of my favorite gb moves.

And I thought it was so sweet, the way they hugged at the end. There was so much affection there - my eyes teared up. -- --- --- Come chat at the Savage Cunny Bar & Grille [ subject matter ceased to be about 'Rome' long ago ] Thurs 10:30pm EST; Sat 10:30pm EST; Sun 3pm EST http://www.scbg.net

> Can you imagine opening the door to THAT? Can you > imagine having him look at you like THAT? I wanted to > kiss the holy hell out of him. > But that moment with Gabriel at the door . . . I'll > be thinking about that for a LONG time to come. YES, YES and YES ... I loved the door scene and agree. I would have had a problem with impulse control though and would have thrown my arms around his neck and kissed him until we rolled onto the lawn. She knew why he was there. Ditto regarding all your "Laura" comments and her actions. My other favorite GB moments in the final episode were when she tell him that "these are the chairs that Andrew reupholstered" and he goes "Oh, oh ..." with that lilt in his voice, feigning interest. Just adorable. You know he doesn't give a damn about the chairs but he's nervous and trying to hang onto her words. The other "look" that made me go absolutely bonkers is when Rosie call him on his mobile. He's staring at the phone's screen when Laura catches him off guard and asks if he wanted a "leg of lamb" or something. He's too preoccupied with the phone call yet he catches the joke and let's out a slight laugh while tilting his head and smiling. Irresistable. > And,please, in the very near future, make a sexy > movie.> Let that erotic mojo you've got gallop for > awhile. Get yourself a sexy star vehicle and give it hell. > Run, baby, run Oh please do. But I would have a problem here. One of my favorite secret indulgences is sneaking off to the movies during the middle of the day by myself. I love the quiet, the relative emptiness of the theatre and not having to talk to anyone else and just focus on the movie. However, if GB does a big screen sexy star vehicle role in the near future I would be in trouble. I wouldn't be able to account for my frequent, extended non-business related lunches which would lead to my subsequent firing.

Sure, none of us liked the last episode. It's over. We wanted hot and steamy and got cold and rejected. But, as some of you have noted, there were some absolutly lovely moments and I too thank Gabriel for getting me through the winter. I was home recovering from surgery in January when this whole obsession started. Now, here in the northeast, there are signs of spring and I am feeling much better. Thank you Gabriel. Here are some of my favorite moments from last night. The aprehension at making the phone call to Laura and his facial expressions while leaving the message, so innocent. Him standing at the door, enough said! "Can I give you a hand?" with the glass of water.... The smile and look of relief when Laura told him that her 'friend' was gay. The way he sat down on the couch. Walking down the hallway to the bedroom...and then it faded to black. Like another poster, I too hope that this series will take GB to the next level. Perhaps now he will get that romantic lead. We can only hope!!

I thought it was really cute how at the start of the finale episode, he was looking at the phone nervously, trying to decide whether or not to call Laura. Paul/Gabriel looked like a high school boy trying to ask a girl out for the first time.

hey, and did you notice how open his shirt was when he looked at the call from Rosie? several button undone there. also, the way he responds when she asks to take his coat, the way he stands when he's looking at the poster, the way he sits down on the sofa. it's really fun to watch him move. -- Edited by juleseliot at 03/28/2008 10:38 PM PDT

Okay, tonight, Paul rings the doorbell. Laura answers. There Gabriel stands with his head slightly tilted, looking REALLY flirty and a little shy at the same time (how does GB do that?). He says, 'hi.' I love his voice. I love the way he looks at her, and the way he looks. Then he nods his head up and down ever so slightly as if to say, okay, I'm here, I accept it, I love you, yes. Can you imagine opening the door to THAT? Can you imagine having him look at you like THAT? I wanted to kiss the holy hell out of him. But strangely, once he stepped across the threshold, once he was actually in her space, the whole scene quickly went to shi**. Laura was such a jerk, all that bullsh** about Andrew the decorator and his stupid chairs. Who gives a fu**? Then her cruel joke about jumping into bed with Andrew. Her juvenile reaction when he told her he loved her. She berates him for nearly every word out of his mouth. WTF? As her last neurotic act, she challenges him by going to the bedroom. Unforgivably stupid and aggressive. I gave up on Laura in this episode. I never want to see her again. Sorry, Melissa, it's the character, not you. I want Laura to just fester over there in Andrew-decorated crazy land. I think that style is called pompous modern? Go away, Laura, just go away. But that moment with Gabriel at the door . . . I'll be thinking about that for a LONG time to come. Thank you, Gabriel, for existing, for acting, for letting that profound Irish beauty wash over all of us. And, please, in the very near future, make a sexy movie. Let that erotic mojo you've got gallop for awhile. Get yourself a sexy star vehicle and give it hell. Run, baby, run!

Paul and Sophie's episodes are my favorite ones as well. I was hoping that she was going to hug him, my heart just melted.
