OK I know that most of you are going to disagree with me on this, but here goes nothing. I think Gabe should let his hair color go natural. Oh, I can hear the groans. I think Steve Martin looks great with grey hair. Bob Barker looks better since he stopped dyeing his hair. I am the same age as Gabe and my hair is naturally grey. And on a man it is even more distinguished looking. Don't flame me too hard. -- Edited by karenwest at 07/20/2008 5:53 PM PDT

I don't care one way or the other. He could go bald...well, maybe not that far, but still... All I care about is his blue blue eyes. As someone who used to have jet black hair, I can sympathize with GB. The problems isn't the grey -- its that the black color dulls, and if he grey is not stark white, going au natural makes one look washed out, although shoe polish black is to be avioded at all costs!!! GB has a clever hairdresser s/he leaves the temples out of his dye process. So it looks like he is graying, but just around the temples. I can't believe I have just written a whole paragraph analyzing a movie star's hair color!!! What is happening to me!!

I like it mostly dark with some salt and pepper please. When he dyes it it is probably shoe polish black for only a few days... I wonder if he does it himself? I can just see him walking around the house with his hair in the plastic bag.... cuppa tea, apron, cigarette.

I think, IMO, that for a whle, he'd only be grey around the temples. I don't think his whole head would go completely grey right away. So when that little bit of grey starts to appear he wants to take care of it. Sometimes I like it, and other times I don't. I think, for me, it all depends how the rest of his hair looks. I think the shorter hair on him looks much better. So if there's a bit of grey around the temples and his hair is short it looks great. When his hair is longer and there's grey I don't care for it, but I have to be fair and say it's most likely due to the length of the hair and not the grey. So in the end, for me, who cares if he goes grey. As long as it's shorter for me, I'm good and so is he.

Karen, I've only been posting here since May, but since then, no one has been really flamed on these threads (except, possibly, the hapless HBO Hosts, who seem to have gotten our Irish up due to their inexplicable deletions of some of our more graphic expressions of our admiration of GB). So, don't worry. We may vociferously disagree with you, but that's about it. -- Edited by lauriejoan at 07/21/2008 5:27 AM PDT -- Edited by lauriejoan at 07/21/2008 5:27 AM PDT

This is the first time ( Gabriel Byrne-HBO-2008 ) I have posted on the internet. I do not know what the text-message letters mean. except LOL--I know that one. I think "to flame" someone is to attack, insult, argue with them. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
