The people who paid $1000.00 to attend the after dinner gala were not happy he didn't attend. I'm just glad I didn't buy that package. A few days before the performance I get an email that I have to move my seats because they needed them for the cameras. Well they ended up bumping us up to the 12 row and it was really neat seeing him and all the actors in it. I saw his ex wife Ellen Barkin in line getting her tickets. She looked great! Funny about Mikhail Baryshnikov. A friend of mine owns a gymnastics gym in Orangeburg NY. His daughter would do gymnastics there. He would sometimes bring his daughter to class. She said he was sweet but very quite. My friend became friendly with his wife and she invited her to see the last episode of Sex in the City. She got to go on the set and Mikhail Baryshnikov introduced her to Sarah Jessica Parker. Thought that was pretty cool. I have to ask her if she sees him anymore? That was 10 years ago.

Oh, gosh, you were also one of the lucky ones who got to see him in Camelot??! That must have been SO disappointing when he didn't show up to the reception (that happened years ago with Mikhail Baryshnikov - he was supposed to attend an after-show reception, but never appeared), BUT I got to see him and squeak out a "Hi" (and he said "Hi" back) by the stage door the next night. 
Okay, Jenlor, I DO remember the picture of the quilt is on here (somewhere!). I think the post is probably in the archives by now - you can go on to the "Search" option and type in "quilt" - it will probably pull up all references to it, but the event was last May, so you can narrow it down to that month.
Oooooh, and I remember the gals who attended the Irish Gala saying that he "lit up" when he talked about the quilt, saying that friends "have asked him about it" and that he "looofs it." (Is that right, Touched or PM?). It's REALLY beautiful - she did a fabulous job on it!

Now wouldn't that be GREAT and we all know about it so it feels like we are also part of it. I think it's even nicer knowing that he probably uses it when his little feeties are cold.

One time, not so long ago.........there was a IT thread member named pmungle........who, along with some other thread members, travelled to NYC to see Gabriel Byrne in Camelot. She made him a beautiful quilt, which she was able to deliver to HIS ROOM, by herself, after the show. Okay, his agent was there with them, whatever, doesn't matter. He loved the gift, and came down then to meet the rest of the girls, at the door of the theatre.

Well, well. April? THAT means I have to find money to subscribe to HBO again!!!! Obviously I have not been around for awhile.....and oh, it is so wonderful GB won the Golden Globe!!!

I don't think that is a current picture from IT. It looks like a picture years ago from a different movie. I thought I saw that one somewhere else. Hmmmm. We will just have to wait  and see. I saw him this summer in Camelot. That was a blast!
