...and what about LAURA, still curious - help :)

Hi friends. By the way, I am gratefull to all you who so generously have contributed your time so that I can enjoy IT even more. Thanks Livvy, Babeeblues, Paxon2, Jolie, everyone! Thank you!

Another one:

Before Laura/Season-1 vanishes from our memories completely? At the time I was just discovering IT and I really did not pay as much attention as in season2; even deleted whatever I had from season-1 off my DVR? but I am still curious about it.

I remember quite a bit, but not clear on the entire thing... so what better place than this one to go over it? (smile)

LAURA/SEASON-1:
I remember that Laura lost her mother at a young age (14, 15?). Her father was depressed and she had to take care of him for a year or so, and apparently this was very hard on her. At some point she went away and lived with a married couple for some time?a summer I believe...

- I am not sure if am confusing it with Sophie?s story here ?

But I believe Laura was attracted the husband of the couple, but never were more than friends. Years later (don?t recall exactly the length) She did have a sexual affair with the guy when he came to her area on business of some kind and then went to visit her at her fathers home and had dinner with them (I don?t recall the city).

The guy became a regular at the house and during this time they did have a sexual affair. I am not sure if this was her first sexual experience but apparently it was important in her life, some how? I believe Laura said to Paul in one of the sessions that she seduced the guy (.. not sure here...), but Paul was railing her about the guy taking advantage of a situation because he was much older than her and in doing so, damaged her somehow.

Ok, so that is what I remember? So please set me straight. I would like to know the following:

In general: What exactly was the problem with Laura?

-What precisely brought her to Paul? How did she choose Paul? (yellow pages, a recommendation?)

-Why and when did she get so hooked on Paul? (Unlike Mia, I don?t recall she was lonesome? So what was she trying to fill in her life with Paul?

-We know that Paul liked her a lot (could we say in love with her?). Why?... was it just physical attraction? Or just his desire to ?rescue? her?

-Finally, if you can pinpoint what her ?problem? was? Was it resolved? I know she decided she had enough of therapy? that she was finally convinced Paul did return her affections and decided to move on... Then, the miracle of miracles? Paul went to her house to love her? but then he had the anxiety attack and well, he left? And that was it ! ????

My only conclusion here is their romance was simply a case of "mutual transference?" Although I never heard this conclusion anywhere... Because for two people who were so "crazy" about each other - in their own way - isn't it strange that neither one has ever tried contacting the other one?

Does that make sense?????

Wendy (The Runner) is the woman Paul told Gina about in their last meeting, that he met while getting coffee and who lived in his neighborhood. A future prospect for a relationship.

Hi Lozzie.

What do you mean with K-arro????
I have seen the last episode of Season 1 on Swedish television (in fact the three last episodes) so I know what hopless end there is between Weston and Laura in Season 1. :(
I just hope for some more romance for them in Season 2. But I understand now that Laura is not in that Season 2.

I read your story about hungry Dr Watson and the pizza last night. I also commented it. But that is in another thread. I liked it! :)

I think Paul Watson deserved both pizza and Laura in the end. But I do not think that Paul and Laura would have a long affair, but I would give them some months to burn down the fire and get on with their lives.

She hasn't shown up again Noraa, no ... but if you don't mind being spoiled for the ending of Season One and great chunks of Season Two, go read my story on FanFiction.net called "Hungry Man"

Click HERE to take you THERE.

I'd love to get a few more reviews, as I have never written for "In Treatment" before and I'm longing to know if anyone else thinks the story is plausible.

Wasn't someone on here talking about "The Bears" in the discussion between Paul and Gina before. I am reading "Little Women" and found a comment in there about bears. Laurie says, ..."Bring on your bears; I'm ready" In this case it was supposed to represent one's readiness to face any obstacle or challange.

I never thought the Laura/Paul relationship could withstand the light of day, because it was built on unrealistic expectations and perceptions of who the other person was, and what s/he really needed.

AMEN and A-MEN, Lauriejoan.

That said, I would love for Season 3 to bring them back together again because maybe it would reflect a new and more evolved Paul. But even more that that-- it would fuel conversations on these threads for many years to come!!!

Anything's better than Wendy. NOT WENDY, HBO...PUH-LEEZ. Hmmmm, maybe Paul could get involved with a professor colleague from the University who grew up in Israel. We'll call her Tovah. Tovah would provide perspective for Paul and yank him out of his malaise given the fact that she survived several airstrikes and bombs while growing up near Gaza.

One thing I loved about IT was that Paul's manner wasn't really all that loving and caring outside of his office and his relationships with his (Season 2) patients. In his sessions with his wife and Gina in Season 1, his coffee date with Tammy and his sessions with Gina in Season 2, he was petulant, dishonest w/ himself, impatient, very selfish and ego-centric.

I never thought the Laura/Paul relationship could withstand the light of day, because it was built on unrealistic expectations and perceptions of who the other person was, and what s/he really needed.

That would be funny...she'd put Paul in a coma....BUT, I still want to see a more mature, manly, steady Paul deal with Laura the way he should not in the cowardly fashion the way season one ended. I hated it that he ran out.

Sometimes it takes more strength and courage to admit to oneself that the trouble one sees afar off requires one to hide. I'm just sayin'.....

That would be funny...she'd put Paul in a coma....BUT, I still want to see a more mature, manly, steady Paul deal with Laura the way he should not in the cowardly fashion the way season one ended. I hated it that he ran out. I do think there could really be something there if this evolved Paul takes Laura and makes her see whose the boss.... She's the type of woman that needs a real man! I'd like to see real man, Paul be that man.....
