I'm creating this Thread so we may have a place to post Mad Handsome Golden Globe news. TVGuide Channel is running an hour-long show (Joey Fatone) about the nominees, and IT does actually get a mention. There are several scenes from Alex - Week 1, with a comment by Blair Underwood. This is shown in the first 10 minutes of the show, and they are showing it over and over and over again this week. With the Beautiful Beast on the move this week, heading to California, maybe we'll be seeing photos, interviews, appearances.....??? Keep an eye out, everyone! The Mad Handsome watch has begun......

OMG...I'm so happy for Gabriel Byrne. It's great to know that others are recognizing his brilliance in IT. I screamed out loud when he won.....and scared my daughter. I'm thinking he was watching at home and totally appreciates the win. And he is thinking about our support too.....

Shout it out, Jen!!!! Congratulations to Gabriel Byrne - Best Actor in a TV Drama! We are SO proud of YOU! (And we want you to get well soon!) And NOW HBO can place that in all their "IT" ads - "Golden Globe Award Winner Gabriel Byrne." (Actually, he will be considered a "presenter" next year - the winner from the year before presents the award the following year!!)

Guys, he did it..........he has won.........the only thing that would have been better, is that he would have been there to accept his award........he so deserved this award. I hope he is feeling better soon. Gabriel Byrne, you deserved this award. And, I can't wait for next year, when you win it again.

Back ON topic So, is it snowing TODAY in NYC - I know the storm was "forecast" for the Northeast, but didn't know if it missed the NYC area? I doubt he'd go by private jet - and it's STILL bad to be on a plane when you're not feeling well (there's not a lot of air "up there" - air travel tends to dry you out). Ooooh, LL, I had never heard of THAT remedy for getting well. Mine is Vicks on the neck (for sore - strep - throats) and wrapping a nice woolen cloth around it (plus garragling with salt water) - AND antiobiotics. They originally said the "flu" then they said the "stomach flu" which means all type of nasty things are going on with his tummy (and antiobiotics don't help with the flu!). I don't know about him, but even if he was OVER that part of the illness, I wouldn't want to be sitting anywhere NEAR where people were eating a FULL dinner. Bleh! Okay . . . off to do some errands. If I'm not back by 6 p.m., can SOMEONE watch the E! channel (their red carpet coverage starts at that time)? -- Edited by jtomppert at 01/11/2009 12:12 PM PST

I'm not a boxing fan, but I'm a diehard baseball fan...I think it may be the best sport that exists. Next to watching GB in a movie, I think sitting at a baseball game with a beef sandwich and a beer (Okay, if this isn't a dead giveaway to my midwestern/urban roots, I don't know what is!* LOL), cheering a favorite team, has to be the most fun EVER!

Windhover, No bets here, but you are absolutely correct. The Golden Glove is boxing and the Rawlings Gold Glove is for excellent fielding in Major League Baseball! Thanks for the clarification!
