Someone told me they saw teasers on HBO re Season 3 when they were watching True Blood Sunday night. True? If they have Season 3, I would like to see how Paul handles a psychopathic patient or a drug addict or someone who is psychotic.

If they have Season 3, I would like to see how Paul handles a psychopathic patient or a drug addict or someone who is psychotic. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I've thought about this quite some time and, while doing this, a question of fundamental nature came up - the difference between a psychologist and a psychiatrist. I think Paul is a psychologist. A psychologist primarily treats the depressed patient by counseling and psychotherapy. A psychiatrist may also perform psychotherapy; but, in addition, can prescribe medications and perform ECT (electroconvulsive therapy). A psychiatrist is a medical doctor. A psychologist may hold a doctoral degree (Ph.D. - and I think that is what Paul does) and be called "doctor"; but is not a medical doctor (M.D.). The treatment of psychosis depends on the cause of it. Care in a hospital is often needed to ensure the patient's safety. Antipsychotic drugs are helpful and group or individual therapy can also be useful (definition and treatment for the most part taken from the NY Times). What I ask myself now is, would Paul, as a psychologist, treat psychopathic patients, drug addicts or any other group of patients that have not just psychological but also physical diseases, that cause their psychological problems, or is this the area of responsibility of a psychiatrist? Maybe anybody can help me with this question?

It is a promo for all of HBOs shows. Entourage, Conchords, True Blood, Big Love and more. The IT part is just a few seconds out of 30 or 40 seconds. IT was still on HBO when they started showing the promo. The whole idea of the promo is to showcase their original programs.

meecha----No, not true. Just a cute promo with Paul where they used computer imaging on Paul's surroundings from a real Gina episode. Really? What would be the purpose of this promo, if not for Season 3? I think I missed something here..
