We are ready and don't forget. We WILL be waiting.
This is all such good news, all this great talent coming, and I think the show will be mooch better. We are not Isrealis and I think the show will become more true to American culture and psychotherapy.
Me, I'm hangin in doggedly for the IT2 release in DEC.!

Still floating on a cloud.......loving this news......I was really, really worried that he wouldn't do another season.
I'm actually looking forward to seeing what they can do with this show, 'from scratch' so to speak. It should be interesting to see how much it changes from seasons 1 and 2......
With GB having a bit more input.....it can only be BETTER!! Man, are we ready for THAT??

I was trying to remember where I'd seen Dan Futterman. It was in The Bird Cage. Thanks for mentioning it. I loved that movie. It was the first time I saw Nathan Lane. He's so great. And, Dan Futterman was memorable as Robin Williams' son.
I looked up Dan Futterman on Wikipedia and it says that his mother is a psychoanalyst in New York. I'd say growing up with a mother who is a therapist should be a big help in writing In Treatment.

This is such terrific news. A little overdue, but I won't complain now.
I'm totally ignorant about the new head writers but am encouraged by the remarks offered about them here so far. I'm most intrigued by Gabriel being listed as a co EP. I hope our guy writes a couple of episodes this season.

I think it is very cool that now GB is a co-producer. The more input from him, the better.
But they are saying filming begins in early 2010 and he is supposed to begin on A Swim at Two Birds in the spring. Our boy is going to be very tired. And I bet that with season 3 being renewed that we will see the premier of SFH on HBO documentary series some time next year. After all they were at the LA film festival. I hope so!

The Aero Theater where the LA screening of SFH took place was just around the corner from the California HBO offices...could it be that Lombardo was there that night?
Well from the names on the seats in the back, we know HBO was representing..so I bet the big boss man was there.
Also we know that a lot of GREAT HBO shows have been cancelled with almost no fanfare, so I'm thinking that there is a lot of respect going on between ML and GB..another reason he was probably there (apart from the fact that it was a short walk from his office
I actually wonder how many of the actors that came and showed their support, lived close by, probably quite a few.
