I voted at 4pm and there were 3 people in line. It took me less than 5 minutes to vote.

Back on Topic and BUMPING UP. Hope everyone has gone out and VOTED!!!! It doesn't matter WHO you vote for (well, it does to me, but never mind!). An FYI that ALL employers are required to give their employees a "reasonable" amount of time to cast their ballots - so don't let anyone tell you that you have to work until 11 p.m.!!! Again, be sure to VOTE!!!

That's so cool, Jen. Yeah, I grew up in Northern Bavaria, so we went to Oktoberfest in Munich every year, too. Of course, several villages have local wine fests right after spring harvest, so Oktoberfest became the last blast of a party before the harsh winter set in. Make it your mission to go to Oktoberfest in Munich at least once. There's nothing like it...the vast amounts of food...Ach mein Gott!! (OMG). It's scrumptious. I recommend the Steckerlfisch (grilled fish on a stick), the Weisswurst (a white sausage), Hendl (spit-roasted chicken), Pommes frites (thick french fries), and the Broetchen mit Obatzda (crisp crust bread roll with a cheesy-butter concoction). YUM-YUM!! Let me know if you need somebody to go with you. In LA, I eat salad, steamed veggies, fresh fruit and green tea all the time, but in Germany, I GRAZE!!

Danke schoen, Jen!! Prost noch einmal! Hoffentlich, wirst du ein ganz perfekt Oktoberfest haben. Trink ein Glas Heineken fuer mich! Prost!! Translation: Thank you very much, Jen!! Cheers once more! Hopefully, you will have a totally perfect Oktoberfest. Drink a glass of Heineken for me! Cheers!! For you history and trivia buffs...Oktoberfest actually starts in late September and ends in October...a nearly month-long celebration. In the early 19th Century, Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria, the capital of which is Munich, got married to butt-ugly Princess Therese. Her family was so happy and relieved about it, they threw a month-long celebration for everybody...all the peasants...all the priests and nuns...all the nobility...all the groom's family...just a huge three-week party-to-end-all-parties of beer, feasting, dancing, music, sport, gifts, merriment and relief at unloading the spinster princess. Everybody had so much fun, word spread far and wide and Oktoberfest has become world-famous.

oh, only one of mine is up there.......the little one, hiding in the lace curtain. Her ears were too big for her head... Yes, isn't it wonderful how they rearrange our furniture for us?

Yes, Ruby, I wrote that because it sounded a little off. I knew what you meant, as I wrote. And I don't know why my posting was the same color as your post. And they were put together as if it was all your post. Anyone who loves animals is okay with me.
