I was still living in Canada at the time of 9/11, and I remember that on the morning that it happened, everyone at school was so solemn and grave. My class split into groups to discuss our thoughts about the incident, and all of us started crying, even though we didn't live in America, let alone in New York. Recently, I visited Ground Zero and left my words of condolences at the tribute museum. Just looking at all the remnants of the tragedy et cetera made my eyes teary all over again. The world truly saw evil that day. -- Please visit Byrneholics today! =)

There was a very good show on the History channel on Sept. 11. This woman gathered video that average people on the streets made on 9-11. She put them together and she started with 8:44 am and went until 10:30 am, I think. After that there was a 30 minute show where the people who did the taping talked about their experiences. Really moving. If it is ever repeated all of you should try to see it. The title was something like "102 Minutes That Changed America." -- Edited by karenwest at 09/14/2008 11:29 PM PDT

How terrible for all of you. I did not know anyone personally, but, David Angell, who worked on "Frasier" was taking a plane home with his family and they were on a plane that went into a tower. On Frasier they had Niles and Daphne name their fictional child David. Thanks to our friends in Canada and the UK. -- Edited by karenwest at 09/13/2008 3:06 PM PDT

Jen and Calla - Thank you for your kind thoughts and words. A male work colleague of mine had a daughter, Lisa, who had just graduated from Boston College, was returning to LA to begin her new job, but her plane went into the World Trade Center. He collapsed in the parking lot when the news came...we all went home for the day to watch on TV...he was out for six months...we all donated our sick leave and vacation days to him...none of us have been the same, but we came together for him. We'll never forget how wonderful Canada and the UK demonstrated their friendship to the US at that time. Please keep those families of the victims and firefighters and police in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks again, Ladies, for reaching out with a tender shout out...YOU ROCK!!

Jen & Calla - thanks for your thoughts and rememberance. Even though my family was not personally touched by the loss of a loved one that day, it is still in and on my mind - we must never forget. I am sure I am not alone in my thoughts and prayers for those personally touched with the loss of loved ones. And, for all of us, who lost some sense of our safety, security, and well-being on that day........yes, we must never forget. Kris

Jen im glad you posted on the subject, its hard for everyone, but it must never be forgotten,we suffered her too because of the same things,it is as vivid in my mind as it was 7 years ago,i dont think there is one person who cannot remember where they were and what they were doing,we have all moved on but the memories are still there.

Such a horrible, horrible day 7 years ago.

I loved him in Cool Hand Luke. I loved that movie. The Sting and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid too. This is so sad. Such a great human being.

Another older man crush I had...except he's a lot older. He never looked it though until recently. And I always loved him and Joanne Woodward as a couple. I'm very sad that he is so sick.
