The Capital Irish Film Festival will be December 10 - 20, 2009 in Washington, DC. Stories From Home is on the schedule. One of the ladies from the Threads has contacted them asking if Gabriel will be there. She received the following response: "We're currently trying to get Gabriel for the festival although it'll be hard as he goes home for Christmas and the festival is in December. We do have lots of other artists involved coming in though. Tickets are set to go on sale on October 5th. Facebook is acting up so I lost your message but I think I've answered all your questions. If not, just let me know! Thanks, Ronan" Anyone who would be thinking about attending this festival (especially if GB is there!) should email and inquire... Let's let them (AND HIM) know that we want him there!! Maybe, after the success of the LA screening, if he knows we want him, he'd arrange his Christmas travel schedule to accommodate the film festival ? Just a thought.... Does that sound like something he might consider? I'm hoping.... going to email now. Here's the website link... let me know if you have any problem navigating it. It appears they're working on a new site. http://www.solasnua.org/ http://www.solasnua.org/featuresponsor.htm The Capital Irish Film Festival running 10th - 20th December 2009 at E Street Cinema, the Goethe Institut, Fort Fringe and Flashpoint Washington, DC

I sleuthed The Dupont hotel. Owned by the Doyle Collection. First hotel in Dublin 40 years ago, understated luxury and sophistication...mainly in Ireland and UK, some hotels in DC and Boston. I'm sure they treat the Homeboy verry, verry well!

Himself spotted in KRAMER BOOKs in Dupont Circle on Monday before the event. So he does stay in the area I would bet. The hotel that houses BAR Dupont perhaps? UPDATE! The sisters will gather 4 weeks from TODAY! -- Edited by sweetbud at 11/21/2009 10:32 AM PST

Anyone else get a thank you note from solas nua for their contribution to support Gabriel's film's showing? I received a nice note dated Nov 6th from Ms. Murray. -- Edited by SarahFrances at 11/17/2009 3:35 AM PST

Hey Ladies, I'm catching up on thread postings...so sorry to hear the news that Gabriel won't make it to the DC Festival. Here's hoping that this means an even better opportunity is coming for all of you. One door closes, another door opens. Don't give up hope...I rooting for you.

New York State has been having gorgeous weather. It is in the 60's, sun shining, a few clouds, no rain, no wind.

Are we talking about Ida?? Is this rain or snow?? We are unseasonably warm here right now...I have put the snow tires on the car....so watch...we'll get the least amount of snow EVER this year...but hey, I don't mind.....it's like insurance..you have to pay for it, knowing that you never want to use it!! And yes..to those going through the rains now, and those who are gonna get crappy weather...be safe....

Thank YOU, Lozzie, you are too sweet! And I can't listen to that song either - I end up getting tears in my eyes, and then am all kerflumped. I don't think he realizes how special he is, and that we're not JUST looking at his outward appearance (although that doesn't hurt!). It's the INNER man that's lovely.
